Re: Time for 3 Divs of 12 on Saturday?

All valid points to an extent, but outweighed by the reality that there will be fewer clubs on Saturday (in the absence of an FFSA SAASL merger), necessitating fewer leagues with more teams per league. Plenty of solutions that don't necessarily require 12 teams for all. While almost everyone likes ...

Time for 3 Divs of 12 on Saturday?

As we rapidly approach the end of the current season, and people frantically look at promotion and relegation spots, is it time to address the Elephant in the room, that of the dwindling numbers of teams on Saturdays. Currently we have Sat Div 1 - 10 teams Sat Div 2 - 10 teams Sat Div 3 - 8 teams Sa...

SAASL Behind on Regos

A Club official of Flinders Soccer Club who was just at SAASL headquarters to pick up some new player cards, has been told that they are only still processing rego's from last Wednesday ( 30th Feb) as such he left empty handed. He was told by the league that we are able to field any players for roun...

Re: Time for the SAASL to get tough on Clubs?

This from another thread.. but very relevant to this discussion. Surely the SAASL should have moved Budapest to single team Div and replaced them with a club like OISC! That is a poor decision I agree. I happen to know Budapest asked a while ago to be put in a lower division through lack of players....

Re: Time for the SAASL to get tough on Clubs?

My point is WHY should there be a NEED for any clubs to be in this position? Can you tell me you would be happy at your club to find out that a player you would be playing half the amount of games as the others , because the SAASL can't sort out the divisions properly :?: :?: It's 2 less games. 16 ...

Re: Time for the SAASL to get tough on Clubs?

With both Sat Div 3B and 4B both currently looking at a reduced number of games due to Clubs only having enough players for one team, is it time that the SAASL cracked down on teams and restructured the divisions properly :?: Clubs should not be allowed into two team divisions if they can't field t...

Re: M. U Stars New Sat Div 4 team

It appears it is Burundi Eagles and M.UNITED Stars who currently don't have reserve sides.

Once again the question has to be asked why the SAASL continue to admit teams in to 2 team divisions that can't actually field two teams :?:

Is this not what single team Divisions are for :?:

Was told that Breakers had been asked if they wanted to stay Div 3 and that Hahndorf up to Div 2?
My mail has it that Hahndorf have already turned down the offer to go up.

If Breakers don't come down.. going to be a very light Div!

Re: Club Management Software

We use Team App http://teamapp.com/ to anounce squads and events and help track availability. It also has the option to sell merchandise and rego's through it but we havent got that far yet. So far it is easy to use and costs nothing which is great. Also has the ability to post live scores.

Looking at the situation, it is not disimilar to the Bosna situation a few years back where you ended up with only 9 teams competing....in the end 1 team from Division 2 (plus Bosna who were suspended) were relegated and 2 came up from Division 3. Effectively Hahndorf finished 8th. in what began as...

Kick off was at the early times. Cobras Fed side was kicking off at 3pm against Comets, so this was one of the times when there would have been a clash!

Mind you didn't make it any easier getting out of bed to go play in the rain at 10:30am! :)
