Rumour has it that SAASL is about to make a change to its constitution to allow it to be absorbed into the Collegiate league. At the moment if SAASL dissolve itself, all assets have to be distributed to member clubs which they are reluctant to do. Has anyone heard any rumblings. The current SAASL c...

Re: Millwall in trouble again....

If only all clubs that had supporters booing followed the lead of Colchester https://www.cu-fc.com/news/2020/december/club-statement/ Maybe those that booed on Saturday might now understand what this gesture means to our club and will at the very least remain silent during future games whilst the pl...

Took the national side to the World Cup where they were on the verge of beating the Netherlands, and won a continental trophy held in our own country. Still a very respectable effort, despite the lackluster recent form.

Would it also let SAASL clubs enter the FFA Cup? As per previous years, it's likely they would be as Rostrevor from the Collegiate League were allowed to enter. http://www.theffacup.com.au/article/ffsa-confirm-clubs-and-preliminary-fixtures/1frrdlkhr63uu14hmio00amhjk As there are 39 nominated teams...

Re: How to improve the SAASL in 2017 and beyond

Totally agree should of seen the look on our players faces when I had to tell them their season consisted of only 12 games. Then we had a forfeit as well meaning we ended up playing 11 plus one cup match. Which is exactly why the previously mentioned idea of 3 A+B divisions of 12 teams needs to be ...

I would define paying players as giving a player a specified amount of money for their on-field contribution, in terms of a yearly or weekly wage (cash). Some players may assist the club by performing paid roles (such as refereeing or coaching) and earn money from that, but in my eyes that wouldn't ...

West Ham have qualified for the final knockout round of the Europa League as a result of Manchester United winning the FA Cup Final.
Southampton, who previously would have played in that knockout round, are now directly in the group stages.

The point against Bournemouth is irrelevant. 5th Qualifies for the Europa League 6th Qualifies for the Europa League because Man City won the League Cup...
