Re: World Cup Finals = World War II

This world cup is like world war two. Poland didn't even make it to the start, the French surrender early, usa come through late and we are left to fight the bottle of shiraz germans! Wouldn't say Poland didn't make it during WW II, they were the first to fight against Germans and later attacked by...

Re: Rehhagel resigns as Greece’s coach!!!

About time I reckon. Sure, he did great in 2004, but you can't live with memories only, have to look forward. And Greece didn't play up to their potential after winning Euro. Wonder who will be in charge next.

Yeah I have heard it as well. I think there will be more of it in later stages, with less and less Africa's teams in WC

César Azpilicuet from Osasuna to Olympique Marseille for ca. 7 mil Euros. Interesting, young talent, was in 1st pick of 30 Spanish players for this years WC, unfortunatelly didn't make to final 23 man squad.

Re: Fan confronts David Beckham

Surely, I wouldn't place England vs Algeria game in the same line like Germany vs Serbia or Spain vs Swiss. There was a lot of passion in those games, teams were trying to do their best. And England? Walking around the pitch, terrified to do anything with the ball, just passing to the nearest team m...

After game bookings for divers. No other way, or like Nice One Cyril mentioned, introducing video replays during the game, which, as FIFA plainly stated few times lately, won't happen.

I know it would be hard, but would love to see both Chile and Spain go through from this group. Not convinced with Swiss style of playing.

Re: Realistically Nigeria only need beat S Korea to advance

S. Korea is a pretty decent side, regardless of the final score vs Argentina. I think it will be a draw in S.Korea - Nigeria game which is a shame, would love to see Nigeria's keeper still in the tournament in next phases, one of the most pleasant surprises of this WC.

Nice game to watch, enjoyed it to pieces. Still think Germany will finish top of the group, can't see Ghana winning against them. Loew's subs weren't spot on for me, Ozil played really good, and players introduced on the pitch didn't give much to team's effort (especially Marin)

Not sure which one was more rubbish to watch, this one or Serbia vs Ghana. Probably Slovenia's game, not the best World Cup to watch so far. Bunch of poor games + vuvuzelas buzz all the time + free seats in the stadiums.

Pretty poor performance. All went German's way though, quick first goal, poor goalkeeping from Mark on second goal, red card for Cahill (not 100% if it was a red card to be honest). But hey, Germany was always favourites of this group, and Ghana vs Serbia showed they are nowhere near to the quality ...

Messi was a bit unlucky not to score one or more goals in this game. But Nigeria's keeper was real class, respect. Agreed. Hat off to the keeper, he would be loving it! Could put him on the radar for some big european clubs? Not sure where he plays at the moment though. agreed, keeper was inspired ...
