I have been told by someone at the FFSA that you can in-fact play in both comps. As long as you use your real name in both, they are not affiliated with each other and there is no way either can stop you from playing in both.

From all accounts, the Downs have asked 5 or 6 to attend, A & S Lindsay, B Gunderlach, B Aldrige, Wisey, both Day & Trimmers not involved, don't think they would want to get injured + they are both too old.

There are some rumors going around that the SAASL will be putting a state team together, with Serg Melta as the coach.

To get around it you could sign a amateur contract with a FFSA club and then come back and sign with an Amateur league club.
