Re: Euro 2020

I can see how the England fans get frustrated with Sterling, but to date he has scored their only goal and should have (I'll whisper it) been awarded a penalty v Scotland. Just a thought! Another thought- at least the England players can rest easy about getting Covid as they couldn't get close enoug...

Re: Euro 2020

What a cracker Portugal v Germany this morning, what a refreshing change from that dross served up at Wembley. Would hope that was a dig at England and not the Scots, I'm sure if we had someone like Kane up front we would be more adventurous. If Southgate is running scared against an average (not s...

Re: Euro 2020

Back to the football............................... I reckon Scotland will give a decent account of themselves for the first sixty minutes or so but will eventually get over run and overwhelmed by a more skilful and energetic England side. Predicting 3-1 to England but would love to be proved wrong....

Re: Euro 2020

Scotland huffed and puffed but outclassed in finishing. Can't argue with the end result, both sides had lots of chances but best team won so no complaints. Could have put the Czechs under more pressure by taking one of our early chances but it wasn't to be. Scotland looking favourites to finish bot...

Re: Celtic Fans

Tierney is a diver, that’s a fact. So I guess by your equation that makes me a bigot. Time to make a stand by taking a knee ? Bottom line is we are all entitled to our opinions. My opinion is that Tierney is a top player and is committed 100% in any game he plays (club or country). You say he dives...

Re: Celtic Fans

If they come second again, will that be deemed disastrous? Maybe win a cup? Normally it would (finishing second) but I think if he is second and nicks a Cup that would be a reasonable and acceptable start. I suppose it will come down to closing the gap enough for it to be deemed a 'decent' season o...

Under the circumstances Ange may well prove to be a shrewd appointment. Eddie Howe was my preference but he did a U-turn at the eleventh hour for whatever reason so realistically he was not committed and most likely a good thing they were 'divorced before the marriage took place'. Initially I was s...

Can't argue with the post by Old School. In fact when you go through each of the points they seem to be valid. A nice change when someone comes on here and 'vents' in a positive manner. Need more positive posts like this one- constructive criticism should be received in the correct manner and taken ...

Well, if they join at all, they should start in Div. 2. They will struggle, of course, but it will a good learning curve. Okay, I will take the bait! ;-) They would struggle in top flight initially if you are basing it on the money and resources but they would steadily climb and could potenti...

On the eve of the latest Celtic v Rangers game who would have thought it would be all wrapped up by the team from Ibrox before the season commenced. This crazy 2020 season is about to get crazier. No spectators at Celtic Park for the upcoming clash due to Covid 19 restrictions and pubs closed until at least 25th October! Really glad to hear that young Sam Draper finally makes his debut for Essendon tomorrow evening v Brisbane Lions. Yes, and now for the magic 10 next season. The haters will say the asterisk year plus the others won when Rangers were in the lower leagues. All you have to ask is "What wrong was done by Celtic"? Answer- absolutely nothing. Nine titles won fair and square on the football field. That said I do have ...
