Re: Player registrations

or info and instructions haven't come out from clubs.

Many parents confused and frustrated at the new system. The FFSA has supplied multiple emails containing instructions. Our club has successfully registered 100% of it's 400+ members and all before time. The buck stops with the clubs not ...

Re: Round 3 big results

The issue here is the FFSA and the grading of teams. Mandatory JPL is a problem for some clubs who's JPL team is not up to that standard and some JSL teams that are good enough for a JPL competition should be moved up.[/quote]

Agree 100% with the last sentence. The JSL comp needs to be disbanded ...

Re: Does the JPL need a revamp?

it seems very simple to me -

Next year you keep the top 3 divisions as they are but with top 2 promoted and bottom 2 relegated. JSL becomes Div 4-6 and has promotion and relegation. In a few years the teams will sort out for themselves what divisions they should be. Like this year, make a change ...

Re: 2018 junior registration and trials - Croydon Kings FC

Yep - ridiculous!

Trials can be conducted at anytime after completion of season, i dont understand why its ridiculous, suggest to your club to start trials after xmas holidays if that would make you happy.

No that's not what I am saying.

How about a few weeks to let the dust settle. Some ...

Re: Does the JPL need a revamp?

Totally agree - its up to the Club Delegates now to push this train of thought with the FFSA. If the majority of clubs wanted this then they would have a good case for FFSA to at least look at change.

Re: Get rid of JSL

Simply just have a rule that only one team per division from each club. If that team becomes top of their division they still cannot be promoted.

If clubs have lots of players in one age group then grade them accordingly. This is only usually a problem for age groups 12- 14. By under 15 the ...

Re: Age group in 2 year gaps JPL/JSL

In my opinion, the FFSA should perhaps consider a system where no club can take deposits from parents until January then kids get a three month window to go and try at different clubs (or coaches can commit to certain players if they want to determine how many spaces are available). I imagine ...

Re: Get rid of JSL

The JSL structure has failed. Remove the JSL and create one junior league.

It creates too many problems:
- uneven competitions i.e. huge score lines and winning margins
- premier league clubs demanding their teams are in JPL to align with their seniors without merit e.g. Campbelltown
- parents and ...

Re: Round 3 big results

Scrap JSL and just make it all JPL Division A, B, C, D, E, etc

Promote and relegate on ability/performance. There are not that many JSL divisions.

agree and then there is only one League to administer not two separate competitions.

Just make the ruling so that no club can have two teams in the ...

Re: Round 3 big results

Ys I agree but I think as FFSA see the JSL as a Community league they are trying to keep it a bit geographical rather than results based.

My point was that some JSL teams are better than other clubs JPL teams and wouldnt it be more beneficial to try and align the teams in ability?

Re: Round 3 big results

Some of the blow out results are in the JSL divisions where there is no promotion or relegation. I think it is time for a review of the whole "JSL" Competition and what it was meant to achieve in the first place? Would it be better to have one competition with added divisions, eg A, B, C, D, and E ...

They will be the clubs looking to fill squad numbers #15 & #16 of the JSL team. Anyone who waits until October is mad. Select the club and team you would like to join and make that your first priority. If the club can't tell you now via phone call or email who the coach is then give it a wide ...

Maybe its so high to offset the Eastern Suburbs Protection Fund costs (ESPF). You would hate to have to wear ES cement shoes. :)

The Eastern Suburbs Tax (EST) is applied to the Eastern football clubs junior fees - in most cases 30-50% higher or more than Northern, Southern and Western clubs.

Tradesman apply the EST to all work done in the eastern suburbs.

By the Junior Fees quoted by Eastern Suburbs clubs its apparent ...

Modbury SC fees in 2016

U12 to First team $680
Under 10 and 11 $460
Under 8 and 9 $410
Under 6 and 7 $350

I wouldn't think it will be much different in 2017

It appears that basically all the clubs are starting their junior trials on the 26/9.

This will mean players will have less options at trialling at different clubs which could make it awkward for some.

It's only Junior Trials that cannot start until the 26th as there are still Junior Games. Miniroos will be fine.
