Re: WNPL ROUND 1
Looking forward to a fantastic season. My prediction for the top 4 for 2020 are: 1. West Adelaide 2. Adelaide City 3. Adelaide Comets 4. Metro I believe West Adelaide will take out the final as they have recruited well especially with the Adelaide United player Laura Johns who has had an outstandin...

Re: Adel Utd Coach to be Offered Further Contract Extension
We definitely overachieved last season but this year is a case of back to reality . The visa players definitely made a difference last season whereas this year many failed to live up to expectations. Maybe it's team to look at an AUFC WNPL side so Ivan can work with the players year round? Strongly...

Re: Adel Utd Coach to be Offered Further Contract Extension
It appears that Ivan will be offered a further 1 year extension on his contract. Well, I certainly will not be renewing my season ticket if he is head coach. This is absolutely ludicrous and appalling. This tells me a lot about the Adelaide United recruitment board. I just cant fathom or comprehend...

Re: Adelaide City Appoints Max Primaro as Head Coach
It appears, Adelaide City players met on Monday night without the new coach to discuss their disappointment with the committee over a promise made to them that they will be consulted and have an input in selection process of a new coach for season 2020. As a result, several players approached prosp...

Re: Adelaide City Appointed New Head Coach for 2020
Max has had a season away from fulham and maybe he now has the drive and passion to take on city. After 3 brilliant years with Pezos and Calderbank and Hatzi. They’ve set the high benchmark that many teams will need to get to if hey aspire to be the best wnpl team/club in SA. From my understanding ...

Re: FFSA Presentation Night
I’m not sure that the refs are the best people to decide player of the year. After all, they are focused on reffing the games, not on how players are doing their jobs. And in the past, the winners of this award have tended to be the better players on mediocre teams. I would argue that City, and for...

Re: WNPL Season 2019
Agreed in part however, there are some teams taking it a tad more seriously and want to impress for a number of reasons i.e. poor 2018, new coach and newly promoted. Pre-season/early season form is very misleading. The Metro/City losses mean very little. The Westies wins probably the same. Fair to ...

Very serving for the French to win. Australia's thuggery approach didn't work. Parking the bus didn't work, but as usual, the whinging was there. Whinge, whinge, whinge. Gonna be plenty of disillusioned players who were earmarked as the future of the game in this country.[/quote] you have to wonder what the kids(and parents) are told when they enter the "elite" system, are they told its the only pathway to the A-League/Europe/National team. They are churni...

After watching last nights game against the Czech's, it is amazing how professional Van Marwijk is. I know its just a friendly but the sides structure has looked better each game. He appears to have thrown Ange's game plan out the window, looked at the weaknesses (and there were many) and with limi...

Everyone has good ideas but don’t we follow the national system now? Clubs like city, metro have heaps of kids and can field 3 teams that will prob be competitive in the a div. Zone areas, live in a suburb then tied to that club. That will only work is prices are fixed and complete overhaul of ethn...

I think it has been compromised recently though as the club TDs have reached a consensus that the special ones development will be better fast tracked (and anxious parents quieted) by bumping them up to U18s. They will address the fact that the U18s will then be basically the same as U13s when the ...
