Re: Health of the junior Clubs

On the State Championships held this weekend it was the first time ever (or at least as long as I've been involved) that there were three age groups for the girls. There has only ever been two! Clearly girls' numbers are growing.... Having said that, nearly all areas were from regional SA. Clearly t...

Re: State School Girls Trials

Yes people's finances are an individual concern and unfortunately this does preclude some athletes and it happens across many sports, but many levels of govt and private enterprise realise this. So there is support if you are prepared to do some groundwork. Grants from local councils, school, your s...

Why would any body donate to the cost when the whole family is going for a holiday. if the girl couldn't afford to be going then fair enough help out but when Mom and Dad and brother are going as well, that must raise an eyebrow. So basically lets give the family spending money. There are more wort...

What a cracker of a game! McCormick resting an injury from training Wed night Para Hills started the stronger, their shape and strength on the ball giving them a few chances, but toros with a new keeper? held strong and got into the game more and more after some 3 weeks off. Toros lacked the abilit...

They havent even finished trials with existing players and state/sasi girls This is true, there has only been 1 trial for that group so far, the second trial was postponed and hasn't been held yet. You would think nothing will be decided or communicated to any girls who have trialled until that sec...

IMO - (I stress this) I would rather see a local coach. Who do we have that can do it? It need not be a female either there are male coaches that are good women's coaches. TBH I dont think at this level it should even come into consideration. Would they say no to SAF because he's male? If it means ...
