Re: Sapsasa

Thanks for the replies all. From what I can gather it seems as though it sounds like a pretty positive, worthwhile tournament still and from my day I agree that the chance to train and play with a different squad under a different coach was a great experience/opportunity. My nephew is year 5 this ye...

Re: Sapsasa

My Sons SAPSASA Zone team last year had every player picked from a Fed. Club. They are in an E&D Zone. I would suggest that 90% of Kids in the SAPSASA Zone teams are from Fed. Clubs. For memory around 40 kids trialed most from Fed clubs. Well run event, Kids seem to enjoy it. I would assume thi...

Re: Sapsasa

But going back to my original query, is it a case of the kids at higher levels not trialling? How many kids were at your sons trials? Possibly 30-35. Thankfully it wasn't open slather like STIC trials these days. From memory the schools could nominate 5 players, I don't remember any trying to send ...

Re: Sapsasa

Would the majority of districts be made up of both club and non-club players or just those where the leagues aren't as big/strong ie the really rural communities? You would think if the city districts are fielding non-club players there must be a heck of a lot of club players that don't try out. Re...

Re: Sapsasa

Their are two option for the kids 1/ Sapsasa state 2/ Sapsasa zone carnavial No 1 is run poorly and no value. :( No 2 is great for club and non club players they all go out and play for fun no pressure just fun. the std of teams are average but who cares, it's a great avent for all kids and well ru...

Re: Sapsasa

:P probably better than anything that the FFSA can run at the moment  Ha ha, wouldn't be hard I guess :D  Jeda gains another acolyte. Not quite. I shouldn't really be too critical with most of my dealings with Feds being when I was playing at that level, which was over ten years ag...

Re: Junior development is more important than points

Also, E&D only have leagues from Under 10's, not U6's . E&D is definitely from U/6 and has been for a long time. http://www.elizdists.com.au/leagues.html LEAGUES!!! Where competition is involved, u6-u9 are all friendlies Ah, my apologies. Yeah quite right. On that note, I wonder if U/10 is ...

Re: Sapsasa

:P probably better than anything that the FFSA can run at the moment  Ha ha, wouldn't be hard I guess :D From what I have heard (which isn't a lot) the carnival itself is run pretty well, I guess I am trying to gauge how much interest there is in it (and thus how high the standard is). I suspe...

Re: Junior development is more important than points

.....I will say it would make for an awesome end of year carnival and I think some great football on show. I wouldn't mind seeing it, but I think the Fed clubs would clean up. The U12 - U17s FFSA cup finals can be a pretty awesome carnival. The E & D lads might think twice after watching some o...

Sapsasa

Hi all, Long time reader, first time poster. Was just curious to find out a bit more info about Sapsasa soccer, doesn't seem to be a whole lot written about it on here and there is also very limited information on the Sapsasa website. My first question is how good is the standard? ie would the major...
