"Honestly, if anybody was out of line it was me and I apologised to the opposition player that I was out of line to," Clarke said afterwards. "A player who I have the utmost respect for, who tries to kill me every time I bat, who batted exceptionally well, and I was out of line. Let'...

‘Aussie Ashes hero’ David Warner continuously seems to show himself to be an ungracious, uncultured, boorish, boastful, smug, unlikeable pr!ck. My question is, is he just really, really thick or is he genuinely the biggest f@#kwit in world cricket since Harbijan Singh ?

English clubs are more than three times as likely to finish a Champions League knockout game with 10 men than a Premier League match. And over the last five seasons, English teams have had a man sent off in almost a quarter of their games in the Champions League’s last 16, last eight, semifinals or...

Jesus, if you genuinely don't think that's a pen, football isn't for you. Armchair supporters view of football in action. Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw.
There was contact no arguments there but I reckon Suarez's action of throwing himself in the air dramatically made it impossible for Webb to give a penalty as the minimal contact made would not have caused that reaction naturally. The ref has to be certain, but he gave him cause to doubt

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw.
Not too bothered really, but Webb was shite. Dished out cards like they were going out of fashion (except to Podolski) , and gave only one of three blatant pens. And Gerrard  Certainly missed one penalty with Suarez, what was the other one ? I thought Sterling would have got one when clipped b...

This might be of interest to those who followed a thread last year about how some juniors, often of African descent look older than their age group. I watch videos of Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Robben etc.. you ever see them when they were kids. Some number 6 drops in, pops a pinpoint pass to them.. they get the ball, dribble 5-6 players and score.. who you think got recognised? Give me an 15-16 year old decent footballer, in 1 month i can tea...

Re: Which club told their kids not too wear club guernsey
Nobody would pass to the kid. Unfortunately that is a recurring theme when speaking to others about the sap trial process. I congratulate RA and the FFSA overall, but one shortcoming seems to be a perception (rightly or otherwise), that they are not interested in the team player. They would rather ...

The difference is everyone is talking about an Englishman diving, including you and all the English media. The locals don't like it, it's not part of their make up so it stands out, unlike elsewhere

Re: Which club told their kids not too wear club guernsey
My son was in the SAP program last year and again this year, and he played at the most (arguably) unpopular club in the northern zone. This year the spots available for SAP doubled as it went from North/East and South/West last year to North, South, East and West this year. That expansion is great ...

Re: Which club told their kids not too wear club guernsey
It's interesting that some seem to make excuses as to why certain kids were chosen for SAP over others and what club you choose at U6 say, is the only thing that determines whether you get into programs like SAP. Some of those 10/11 year olds that did get into SAP, including the North zone, do trai...

Its a skill acquisition program. The idea isn't to pick 'team players' but to develop individual skill. kids were assessed on the 4 basic core skills, and "flair" players normally possess higher technical ability.[/quote] "Focus on FUNCTIONAL GAME SKILLS (as opposed to ‘tricks’) "...

Pre conceived ideas of who they'd pick. Wasted everyone else's time. My nephew is disillusioned when he sees some of the kids who got picked ahead. Rich messing up. Poor messed up. Dumped on the office staff too. No team players here. Every kid for themselves. pre-conceived ideas? besides the 3-4 p...

Countries all over the globe are exploiting the FIFA rules, England might as well join in. they do, look at their current cricket sides! So when did FIFA start running cricket then, would explain the corruption I suppose. All national eligibility rules include own place of birth plus a parents/gran...
