Re: Final Round - Saturday Div 1-4
I am from Murray Bridge United and we have called league regarding relegation for this season. We were informed this would be a decision made by the committee, however the recommendation will be that Budapest & Chin count towards relegation (Both were pulled from the league in a dismal year for...

Final Round - Saturday Div 1-4
Few things to play for around the grounds tomorrow. i think i got this right, some of the lower leagues are confusing as they have not many teams / games!. Div 1A ------- BOSA - Champions AUSC need at least a draw to secure runners up or may need to play their cathcup if SPOC get up. Stirling - Desp...

Final Round - Sunday Div 1-4
Two of four champions already crowned in both A Grade and B Grade, congrats to Vista, Munno Para, Plympton, Mawson Lakes for wrapping up their divisions ahead of the final weekend. This still leaves four all to play for on the last weekend, lets hope the pitches take last nights rain OK. At the othe...

Re: UniSA Junior football club
seeing as Andre's response is a bit long winded. i suspect it will be JSL as they would need to enter 3 teams in state league 2 to be able to field anything in JPL.Three words wrote:Are you playing in the Jpl or Jsl

Re: Is SAASL a shambles
Didn't the premier league change their rules to prevent verbal barrages aimed at officials. I think Jamie Vardy was highly critisized towards the end of last season. Perhaps tightening up the rules on dissent may help. (Or makes things worse :? ) R6 os use of provocative, offensive or abusive langu...

Re: Is SAASL a shambles
Bit harsh, we have had a minor incident this year with Ghan (hasn't everyone) and one team who suddenly became much, much better, but generally have had reasonable referees for both A's and B's and had a pretty uneventful year. Not sure how much better the FFSA would be and how much more it would c...

Re: Time for 3 Divs of 12 on Saturday?
agree with you i dont see why it takes so long, they have the cut off which they could move as well and it at least gives the structure of the leagues and the fixtures should not take as long as they do, if this helps bring them forward then it would be another positive outcome.gooner4life wrote:bench-warmer wrote:Der kaiser wrote: snip

Re: Time for 3 Divs of 12 on Saturday?
All valid points to an extent, but outweighed by the reality that there will be fewer clubs on Saturday (in the absence of an FFSA SAASL merger), necessitating fewer leagues with more teams per league. my U11s managed it this season 21 league games, and 2 cup games and start/finish the same weekend...

Re: Cup Semi Final
why do they use ffsa grounds for the semi finals? coudlnt they use a club with decent facilities i.e. ingle farm/parafield gardens who both have new club rooms, so that it benefits the clubs in the assoc, rather than others? Or do saasl run the gate/canteen and pocket the profit? Best 'us vs them' ...

Re: Time for 3 Divs of 12 on Saturday?
had similar thing last year with sunday div 4, there were 8 teams and then one got kicked out, then 5 teams got promoted and only 1 relegated from div 3, so it was not great for anyone, i can imagine that it is like for the saturday 3/4 teams this year. with more teams looking to move / fold i think...

Re: Cup Semi Final
Always thought the reserves cup could be done a little better in terms of allowing first team players to be stacked into a reserves team just to have a good run. Something like maximum of three players having played more than 50% of their club's first team games would surely make it a fairer system...
