Re: AUFC-W
Yes it was a great win considering several players down in form. Emily Condon and Maria Rojas were kept quiet, Chelsea Dawber had no impact must still have an injury concern, Fiona Worts and Georgia Campagnale needs to be replaced as they have not been effective or have any impact in the game. If i...

Re: Coaching Movements
Wash up from season 2020? Which coaches are where? Comets and City have new coaches. New to the WNPL. Not just established heads moving from one club to another. Better throw Fulham into the mix with their new bloke. Good to see new people at the helm. Won't be long before pre-season games start. W...

Re: More changes within refereeing ranks
After my post from yesterday was removed (must have hit a little too close to home), I will reiterate the information a little clearer. So the Referee Committee Chairman and one of his committeemen have decided to leave, less than 12 months into their jaunt. Call it choice or call it pushed. Its is...

Well done Adrian Stenta and the team for a great win against Perth Glory. It was an entertaining game and a great second half. Great game from Emily Condon but unfortunately ended up with concussion. Hopefully she will be available next week. Finally the current players were placed in their correct...

Re: Canberra Utd VS Adelaide Utd
I would like to say it was an entertaining game but sadly a game that AU would rather forget. But looking at the line up prior to the game, I was absolutely flabbergasted and confused. People would say it was because of injuries to two players Laura Johns and Charlotte Grant. That is not an excuse ...

Player Movements 2020/21
Haven't seen too many clubs announce many, if any players for the 2021 season yet.
Interested to see if there's any big name moves to follow coaches.
Likewise, will be interesting to see how many bench/reserves WNPL players from 2020 will drop to a State League club for more First Team action

The best comment by far here on this topic is...An AUFC-W academy side playing in the WNPL. Brilliant. Should be a done deal. Would make sense. Exactly the same way the men's side to it. But look how long that took to happen for the men. I wouldn't have thought it'd happen any time soon. But I agre...

Re: State league 2021
Hopefully this doesn't end up last like time where there were teams in the State League that looked like they'd never played football before and just got blown out the water. It's actually surprising that they're allowing clubs that are starting up/restarting to jump straight in. I really hope that ...

Metro could have a huge turnover in the off season. Tony's got his work cut out for him that's for sure. Stella Rigon announced her retirement via social media today. Considering the length of the suspended sentence, I think he's very very lucky to have had the entire 21 months suspended and not serve any jail time at all.
For what he did, personally think he should be serving jail time.
But yeah, his profile and Man Utd has probably got him off here

Sportsbird I'm not sure the clubs will take up the selection of 10 AC players to AU or FF SA. Why would clubs be concerned at selection? Is you concern about AC becoming the club of choice? The way I see it AC is currently at where Pezos wanted it to be with AC: Come to AC and you'll be a chance fo...

Australia & New Zealand to host FIFA Women's World Cup 2023
Well, we've done it. Australia and NZ will host the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023. Vote ended up 22-13 over Colombia.
A huge result for not only women's football, but women's sport.
This is a game changer for football in this country

UWS if you seriously think City had a better squad than Metro in 2016, you're delusional. Using the "City have players in the W-League squad and Metro don't" argument is bollocks and you know it. Metro should have at least 3, if not more in that squad, and it's absurd that they don't. As has been sa...

A few in there that shouldn't be imo. There were better players in the WNPL than some who were selected.
And Mark Jones' daughter still in the squad. Which is absurd in itself.

Re: TEN TEAM COMPETITION NEXT YEAR
It makes absolutely 0 sense. The State League will be gone and it makes a mockery of the promotion/relegation playoff that occurred during the WNPL Finals Series.
And I agree, after PHKs woeful season, is their place in the WNPL next season warranted? I think most people would say no.
