Re: Pay Dispute - Lady Reds

What are the local players going to do??? Boycott?? Not Play??? Unfortunately there is not alot they can do.... because if they refuse to play for not getting paid then AU will give the contract to the next player who is willing to play for nothing to get the chance to play in the w-League... There ...

It's fantastic that they are playing at Hindmarsh twice, and that their regular season has been increased from 10 games to 12 (20% increase). Thanks to all involved in implementing the improvements.

Sorry to burst your bubble...but the last season was 12 games, so no increase :(

Re: Lady Reds Coach To Quit

Ive heard "rumours" that next year they will have an 8 team NWPL comp that will be played on a Friday night at West Lakes and The Parks....

And that anyone going to watch has to pay to get in....

This will take out the problems of fencing and will bring in more revenue for FFSA.

Re: Lady Reds Coach To Quit

Canberra United have never had the backing of any mens club and will continue not to but have matched it every year in the w-league. They actually have someone working on obtaining sponsorship not waiting for sponsors to come to them. In saying that every other club in the W-League pay their players...

One of the teams a couple of weeks ago got beaten 25 - nil - (Prems vs Divison 6, I think) At least the way it is in Adelai...

Re: New PowerHouse Team To Dominate Women's Football in 2015

I think its about all w-league players are not allowed to play in the premier league next year and instead will be training all year round with Ross and playing every second week against boys teams... and if this is the case then it really only takes out about 5 of the current players as the others ...
