Re: Rooney Wants Out.
It's not inconceivable that both Rooney and Torres could be Stamford Bridge-bound in January..... Rooney fee? £20m at the most - many factors driving his value down, United won't sell to City, and Rooney wants to stay in UK. Torres fee? £30m-35m - his form and injury record is so poor at the moment ...

Re: Chelsea V Newcastle
The last player who came through ANY academy in the premier league and set it alight is probably wayne rooney at everton, and before him michael owen at liverpool. Kakuta might be the only HALF decent player out of the lot you named, but all he really has is pace going for him. Manchester United mi...

Sorry Gawler guys, but you have people from two different clubs who have played against you saying the team they played the 2nd time was a LOT different from the team they faced in the first round. How is it you guys can sit bottom all year then suddenly find the ability to spank teams who are sitt...

It's funny how a team can collectively grow 2ft each in the space of 6 months. I remember the Gawler team in Round 2 who couldn't string 2 passes together, had only one player approaching anything near 5'8" and struggled not to trip over their own bootlaces. Obviously that team continued throu...

Re: Comets - Under 17 Cup
The reason Comets A's forfeited to Comets B's is because most A players were cup tied with the 19's and B's anyways. There are only about another 6 players able to play for the B's due to these ties. If that's the case then I can see why it happened. You have to appreciate how dodgy it looks from a...

Comets - Under 17 Cup
The scores show that the U17A side for Comets lost on forfeit to the Comets U17B in the 2nd round of the Cup last weekend, handing Comets B's a quarter final matchup against Metrostars. By all rights, Comets B's should get an absolute reaming from Metro, at least 10 goals. But they won't will they? ...

Re: Best Junior Coach?
Best junior coach would have to be Camillo Lombardi. I know for a fact he has taken players from B sides and developed them into hard working players who then played A's at a higher level and now are playing 19's and reserves at a Super League club. In his first game coaching he recevied a 17-1 sma...

Seems that fences are a requirement for some clubs, but not for others.
I was under the impression that fences, ground stewards, AND official refs were all compulsory for Under 17 matches.

It is quite obvious you play for the coach in question. I don't think anyone can confidently say who the best junior coach is. The measure of such a title would be determined by how many players under his tutelage go on to represent senior teams. I know of some coaches who have been coaching junior...

The facilities at Park B27 are below par, no way suitable for u17s level. I can't believe that at u17A level they are still playing games at this venue. Campbelltown were better skilled, better in a tactical sense, and better coached. The less said about the referee in todays match in the U17 Cup between West Adelaide and Campbelltown the better.... I thought he destroyed the game with his blatant favouritism / inconsistency. Campbelltown players were booked for the most ridiculous things, including one player booked for accident...
