Re: 2016 JPL Division 1

Initially there may be a perception that the JPL is the better league to be in.

Over time if clubs in the division 2 league (or what ever its called) improve their junior development programs then will this be an issue?

Re: Aggresive players and coaches

will take a while to get the 'win at all cost' coach out of the junior world. As more coaches complete the asia badges there will hopefully a shift in attitude

Re: Query on Campbelltown U16

A couple jumped a grade - a couple left. Most stayed. They like the club theyre at and they play with/for their mates. So not a biggy we went down in the scheme of things. at the end of the day we werent of the level.

Re: Query on Campbelltown U16

I agree there are times where player drop down to assist. But if they are playing mid week why down they promote from the 15 side. My mate coaches at AC and they take a lean senior squad. Any injuries and suspension and they draw up in every grade to fill spots. Great way to give experience to a you...

Re: Query on Campbelltown U16

For the record WT Birkalla played and won on Wednesday at Para Hills in the 16B comp with every single boy U15 - stacking? or player development ! Comments to contrary are malicious, unfair on the boys and challenge the clubs integrity. If you don't know the facts shut up ! if they play 15's and ar...

Re: Are issuing cards different when a keeper is at fault

The LOTG say nothing about a last man, but question if it is an obvious scoring chance. Pushing a ball past a keeper to and almost impossible scoring angle is not an obvious scoring chance. At the end of the day it's the referee's interpretation of the situation. Just refreshed my self on the rules...

Are issuing cards different when a keeper is at fault

Saw a player sent of yesterday (straight red) for grappling with a striker while heading towards the box. Deemed last man so sent off. Next game of the day the keeper shirt fronted a striker when he pushed the ball past him (keeper was the last man). Penalty was given but no card at all. Is is diffe...

Re: Query on Campbelltown U16

I have no problem with bringing age eligible players playing down to fill gaps, injuries, suspensions, etc. But I have a real problem when a Whole team is made up of players from other age groups. The club should either have an Under 16 team or not. The 4 player movement from one age group to anoth...

Re: Query on Campbelltown U16

If kids are the right age there is nothing you can do. If there is anyone who deliberately wants to take the gamble and play an overage player needs to be aware that all it takes is for the player to get an injury, coach and club will be stuffed, not worth it honestly Agree but not ethical in my op...

Kids should also mix the sports up. Cricket/tennis in the summer + a game of futsal. Different intensities / different coordination sets. My son also did gymnastics in the summer months and continued that through the winter (scaled back to one night a week) I thought that was excellent for his core ...

I think you better check your facts, and retract your statement .... $600 for SSF??? the amount of crap people post on this forum is getting worse by the day!!! Not $600, but definitely $500 for our 6 year-old grandson for SSF. My daughter & son-in-law have the email from a Premier Leagu...

Re: EDJSA or FFSA for juniors?

what's your budget Some FFSA clubs are charging 6-700 bucks per child where as EDJSA are much cheaper You pay for what you get tho, with better coaching (generally) at FFSA phsc knights is $230 for the year. IMO SSF model is a better to to teach kids skills and fundamentals of the game if only beca...

isnt the curriculum for junior development. the seniors can do what they like Seniors now includes U18's... (and at some clubs Reserves are effectively U20's) many of these players will be the better 15.16 and 17 year olds that are around! imo 18's are stilled called the youth team and should be ap...
