Re: Junior Parent Referees
Maybe FFSA could look at resourcing the clubs somehow to get U13 U14 U15 club pplayer to earn a bit of pocket money and ref U6 -U11 games or give discounted fees for these ages that the kids to do the refeeing. Maybe you might find some ref's this I don't know... Excellent idea ..... the clubs them...

Re: Junior Parent Referees
Ok, we'll just ask the FFSA to forget about the seniors and older juniors to provide refs for the u6-11 ........ I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because you havent been to many seniors games this year, but we have been short of an official twice on Saturday at the seniors, and I'm sure the o...

Re: Junior Parent Referees
There is no problem with parent refs/game leaders, as long as they know the rules for that particular age group, don't 'coach' their team (coaching and encouraging are 2 different things), and if there is a decision to be made, do as you would to your own team, for both teams .... Don't agree Zelk....

Re: Junior Parent Referees
And why can't FFSA fund junior refs like E&D do? It's not as though any of these 'issues' just came to light. Maybe the FFSA could take money out of the development budget to pay for more refs? I wonder of that's where E & D found the money :P No your right this "parent ref" issue...

And we always get a few decisions that go against us, but big deal, life goes on, as long as the parent ref is consistent and trying to be fair..... Re: Junior Parent Refeering 2
Yesterday i was at a venue watching a game, while waiting for the game to start i was watching an Under 10 game. One team scored and the referee went up to this kid who would have been about 8 or 9 years old and said " It was your fn fault they scored" and pointing his finger at the kid, ...

Re: Junior Parent Referees
Most parent refs I've come across don't have a huge amount of experience but try to be fair (myself included). There are obviously a couple of exceptions to that rule. I personally make sure there are a number of encouragements and warnings before I will blow the whistle. After all they are only u/...

The score was State 3 Metro 0, which following on from the 9 0 win against Croydon last week shows that the squad isn't as bad as some people are hinting. So they win thats makes the squad good...."its all about development" yeah right!!!  Don't "bag ya drum" too hard...
