Coaches goings and goings for Season 2024

The women's season is over. Champions decided. Post season events happened or happening. Post season is also a time for change.

So, are we going to see any movements on the coaching side of things for season 2024?

Re: Season 2023.

The Forum never fails to deliver. Pseudonyms used yet people either know (or assume) they know the ID of the person. Interesting. Anyway, what about the sacked coach? There is some inference that there is a disgruntled parent? Not sure if coaches get sacked for that reason alone. Doubt it. Anyway, I...

Re: Season 2023.

Totally agree with your summary about the NTC and Michele. These players and those to come into the program, are very lucky to have an excellent set up and high performing programme. In comparison the sasi programme had all the support and infrastructure however, its programme head in sa was unaccou...

Re: 2022 Awards

NTC NTC NTC - One would think they're getting their tyres pumped. Imagine if NTC didn't win anything including rising star? What would they say about the program? There are many excellent young players in the WNPL that will never get a gong.

Favourite child syndrome.

Maybe some of those that have come and left in a short period of time have accepted good opportunities (promotional) and decided to leave AC.

Re: coaching movements

Well done to Simon Cat for bringing character and his wealth of experience to the wnpl. I have never worked with him however, his resume is extensive and his commitment to the wnpl is indicative of the high level the sport is at and how it can and will attract quality people. I look forward to readi...

A brilliant story for the Comets. Congratulations to all concerned and to the coaches, players (in all grades) and the club.

History is being written.

Thank you for your eloquence. Somewhat misguided and off the mark. You have done what many on this forum do, attack the contributor with little IF ANY relevance to the topic. I’ll use this opportunity to do what I do not like doing. Vilifying people. I have not directed my comments to any one person...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

Thank you for your response. Judging by your passionate response, you have a significant and vested interest in the state park project. Its become Hindmarsh stadium mark II. Open for use but not for everyone. Preservation of the main pitch. The cost to open etc are the catchphrases used. The discont...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

WOW. My apologies for not seeing that Fulham dropped. Play off again for them second year in a row, I feel for Modbury as I think they played some really good games. Good honest team. According to the table, Fulham plays off against 2nd place State League team- Birks ended up 8th and so automaticall...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

Might be your vie which I will not dispute. I am certain that clubs will be "encouraged" to make use of their home grounds in lieu of ServiceFM stadium. Is the natural pitch. Not a better venue for two concurrent games. Teams playing the far pitch cross over the first pitch to get there. T...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

Well the minor round has now ended. All the very best to those teams in the finals. Sad to see that Modbury are to be relegated (I might be wrong), however, Birks (because of their sensational win) survive. I believe that they are going to play off for the right to remain in the wnpl. Anyway back to...

Season 2023

Well done to ALL the teams for another excellent season. For those progressing to the finals, all the very best. For those who’s season has come to an end, get to the finals and watch the games and let that drive you towards 2023. Every team can make the finals. For those that are likely to end thei...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

If this question is directed to me. then I can say 2 or 3 at SP. There is nothing that will convince me that the de-centralisation is beneficial to the WNPL. Contrary, the decision has an adverse impact. Thank you We've been sold a pup and SP will be another soul less staidum Well said SAD GAL :clap...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

Good discussion point about the evolution of the game and the need for central venues for WNPL games where the clubs did not have the requisite facilities. Agreed. For what it is worth, State Park has and will become another Hindmarsh Stadium where access is limited to select games. Inequitable. It’...

Thank you for a well thought out response rather than the retorts that offer little than critique for the other side of the argument. I think you have captured it well. No I do not however, I question how the allocation will occur. I think the formula to be sued will be interesting. How much will flow through to the WNPL team/s?

Re: WNPL Player Payments Models

Thanks for the reply. I have heard of varying models 1) Some clubs have voiced disapproval of any payment to the senior women's. Same old chestnut. Have to be self sustaining. Meanwhile the club makes player payments through its women and juniors. 2) Some paid certain players. W-L-D scale. Not every...

Precisely. Not enough. Maybe 2. The circumstances under which the teams play and why it was necessary to bring them together (as has been for the last 6 or so years) to consolidate the sport. Therefore, not necessary to compare to the amateurs or NPL. The teams are "encouraged" to play awa...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

C U and Burns thank you for the condescending remarks. Ignorance is contagious. Does a lease mean exclusivity? Certainly, doesn’t mean ownership. I’d say tonight and any other Friday night it lays idle. In regards to State Park and the de-centralisation of WNPL games, I maintain this has bene a detr...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park

The comparison with amateur league and WNPL or NPL is absurd and irrelevant. Whilst all leagues deserve the respect of decent facilities, the top leagues do too as well. Speaking to many people from different clubs, they are all saying the same thing. De-centralisation of games away from the the Fri...
