Re: Chelsea v Blackburn

Chelsea will also get Di Santo back from loan in January, he's at Blackburn getting first team premierleague experience. Scored his first goal last week and has been doing well. So between him, Sturridge and Borini (played Carling cup a few weeks ago) they should have cover in numbers at least for l...

Re: FIFA Ban Chelsea From Signing Players Until 2011

When Roma signed Phillipe Mexes from Auxerre they broke the same rules, got a 2 transfer window ban which was later reduced to 1, plus a fine of 8million euros. I predict the same thing will happen here. I'd be worried if Chelsea were a bottom 3 club. In this case it'll give good squad stability and...

Re: Neil on the move

It is a fair point about any of us with normal jobs would move for more money, I am the same. Just the difference is I don't have 50,000 people outside my office chanting my name and cheering me on while I check my emails, or worse yet, write on Football news. Loyalty has more propensity to arise wh...

Re: Adrian Mutu’s €17m Chelsea Fine Is A Crime Against Humanity

I personally think that's crap. Mutu, sure he took drugs, but made a mistake. And now he and his family should have to suffer that for years to come... Can't say I've ever heard somebody say "oh Maradona took drugs, so should I" or whoever. And if people are such blind sheep and would do ...

Re: Adrian Mutu’s €17m Chelsea Fine Is A Crime Against Humanity

I don't like the fact that he might become bankrupt out of this, but such is the consequence for making such poor decisions. Professional footballers are the idols of kids around the world and anything that discourages them from being a bad example by taking drugs, alcohol etc. can only be a good t...

Re: Adrian Mutu’s €17m Chelsea Fine Is A Crime Against Humanity

nothing to do with the economy. Chelsea have been chasing this for years. Its been tied up in the court of arbitration for sport almost since it happened they have been seeking compensation. Chelsea really didn't have a choice, they had Mark Bosnich do the same thing just a couple of years earlier. ...

Re: CL Semi Final 1st Leg - Barcelona vs Chelsea

Good result chelsea. Gifted way too much posession to barca in the 1st half started to get a hold of the game a bit in the 2nd half thanks to obviously some words from hiddink at 1/2 time. Cech had a great game shot stopping wise, but his distribution was very average. So many goal kicks and punts u...

Re: Pim Verbeek

Verbeek is a great coach. 0-0 is not a good result. It is a great result away from home to the best team in the group. With the likes of Emerton and Kewell out, that would be like taking out Nakamura and Endo from the Japanese team. Verbeek's tactics were spot on as always. If he attacks more we le...

Re: Score prediction for tonights game

2-1. Cahill to score from a corner, Nakamura to set up endo for an open play goal for them, then Kennedy will get brought on about 70 or 80 minute mark and score a late header from yet another looping Luke Wilkshire cross. A fairly cagey game, they'll have 55% of posession, we'll play on the counter.

I have heard the same thing. I think from memory, wright phillips has even been quoted on the chelsea website as saying he didn't want to leave. And even scolari said that he liked him as a player, and he was very well liked as a person at the club. Interesting though, that's two transfers out of pl...

there is no way there would be an announcement by Peter Kenyon, published on the Chelsea website, unless it was definitely going to happen. it just would not happen. End of story.

A great signing IMO. Wright Phillips will probably go now though...

And LOL they are not Real Madrid.

Re: Welcome Back SHEVA!

Franco Di Santo is pretty good, reminds me of Van Nistelrooy. As for Milan and everyone bagging them for not signing a centre back.....they did just sign Senderos, even though to be honest I'd say that weakens the side, unless Senderos can capture the form he had with Switzerland during the 2006 wo...

Good luck to him. I hope he finds his old form with Milan. With Scolari coming in I did hope he might have a chance to succeed at Chelsea. I guess Chelsea are just cutting their losses since they have drogba and anelka to play the target man role, and youngster Franco Di Santo might get a run now to...

yeah fair point. I guess one of the two if not both will miss out. Only problem is without emerton, who plays RB? or RWB maybe? I guess Wilkshire could maybe. Maybe they'll play 3-5-2. With Neill central with one of the two youngsters, wilkshire & carney/chipperfield as wing backs Possibly they ...

I really think milligan will get some significant game time. We need him to find a club quickly, for the good of Australian football.
