Can't see where Southern Knights are going to win a game this year. What is the ruling with fielding a reserves side and how it impacts your first team? Because at present count I think they have 9 + about 4 blokes over the age of 45 (one of those the legendary Swanny), so I can't see them lasting ...

I remember our C2 team a couple of years ago were hosting them on the bottom pitch and after the first team game we had put the food out and they got their kids to come in and steal it all! Had kids walking out with 2-3 sausages in their hands

Re: Is SAASL a shambles

Robbo is spot on re: creating a culture that protects referees. SAASL lose nothing by getting rid of these trouble teams like Ghan. If anything it makes people more interested in playing. Spending more on referees, ie training etc, will certainly improve the standard. But until the issues with abuse...

Re: Is SAASL a shambles

With the funds the SAASL have they should be able too - Stamp out all the illegal players in a quick and swift manor. How much money would it cost to get an independent person to go view a game on a Saturday or Sunday and take video/photos of a game? $100 at the most? Hire and extra person at SAASL...

Re: Is SAASL a shambles

You think the "Fed player" issue doesn't exist in the CSL? Think again! I have had the (mis?)fortune of playing SAASL in 2015 and CSL in 2016 so I have a relatively good comparison of the two. Whilst the refs don't have to deal with near anything what they do in SAASL (although that is a ...

Bit harsh, we have had a minor incident this year with Ghan (hasn't everyone) and one team who suddenly became much, much better, but generally have had reasonable referees for both A's and B's and had a pretty uneventful year. Not sure how much better the FFSA would be and how much more it would c...

You would have thought common sense would allow them to change the Semi ties in the reserves given they haven't chosen a central location. I am informed that as part of the draw process, a side from each competition were selected to choose a kick off time. Easts chose the later game. Well I guess i...

Re: Sunday 2nd Div Promotion and relegation

Looking at fixtures Pirie have one game left, but the table says two? If it is the one they'd need to beat Westies (on a Saturday at westies looking at the fixtures), and Vale would need to pick up two points against Easties, Raptors and Knights. The table is always a mess at this time of year, I th...
