Re: Challenge Cup

You'll find there are a couple of Div 2 sides who unluckily got drawn to play in round 2.
So they have the correct number of teams in the comp from round 3 onwards, usually Div 1 and 2 sides get Byes until then

Re: HJ TEMPLIN PRESEASON CUP 2021

Thanks to Parafield Gardens for hosting the Vukovi and West Beach yesterday.
They co-ordinated it really well and staggered all kick-off times so all teams could use the changerooms as required.
All the best this season!

Re: Aus v India - test series

David Warner rules out of the first test, the young lad Pucovski got head in the head yesterday so is probably in doubt, who takes the opening spot with Burns? i would push Labuschagne up to open the batting Shaun Marsh. Oh please dear god no Option 1 - push lamb shanks up and bring in Green in the...

Re: AFL 2020

Apart from the close scores the overall standard of AFL has slumped to an all time low. Its like watching under 11 footy with about 30 players all within a kick of the ball. So true, have not watched one entire game of AFL this season, actually sat and watched the second half of the Legs and the Ro...

GIAE - how do you feel about League One clubs voting to finish the season as it stood prior to Covid-19 shutdown?
My old man is happy as his team is Rotherham and they're now promoted

Re: Season 2020

If we could play some mid-week games to catch-up i'd still like to play an 18-game season Scrap the cup for this year and use those weekends for league games as well Issue for mid-week games and pitch availability (as well as quality lights) issue for later in the season will be availability of grou...

Re: Women's T20 World Cup

They finished 3rd after the group stage. They were 1-1 v Australia in the tournament. Lost to Sri Lanka and Pakistan who were both poor in the tournament. Tied NZ in the final and only won on an obscure countback rule. India were probably the best team in the tournament until the semi final when the...

Re: Women's T20 World Cup

If you want to use luck as any guide, look at the men's last ODI World Cup final. Or does the "won under the rules of the comp" (ref D/L) not matter now? It didn't seem to matter to all the aussies who are still crying about us winning. Australia won under the competition rules, that's a ...

Last 9 ashes matches, 6 wins, 2 draws, one narrow loss. Clearly one team is better. :D :D :D All we know so far is that you are better in Australian conditions. In a week we will know the answer in English conditions. Well either we will be considered better or it will be neutral - based on that lo...

2019 Champions & Promotion

Given we're 2 weeks from the end of the season (not including Cup) who has secured promotion and who has won their leagues?

- Modbury have won Sunday Div 4A
- Athelstone have won Sunday Div 4B
- Para Hills have won Sunday Div 3B

- Croatia have sealed promotion in Sunday Div 3A

Australia was one wicket away from retaining the Ashes and now England have all the momentum and should be favourites to win the series.

Re: Ashes 2019

Very shite batting from Australia - the art of fighting for your wicket is now virtually dead thanks to t20 cricket. The bowling was very good but simply no fight or ability to properly defend and leave balls is totally on show. Expecting a fine day today and England to be about 4/300 as no chance w...

Was a ripping Test Match and the weather played into the drama. The notion that England would have won had the game continued is irrelevant - both teams have drawn tests before with the last wicket partnership defending for their lives given the alloted number of overs that were remaining. Aussies w...

Re: Ashes 2019

Seriously people need to get over the booing.
We've booed Broad every time he's batted in Oz for the last 2 tours and it's 'just banter' from the crowd.
They're allowed to do it.
Archer is going to get booed when he next comes to Oz and no doubt we'll justify it with some garbage
