Re: Australia v India

It's Australia's match to lose at this point - and it could very easily happen given how we've batted all series Reckon its almost line ball, but all we need is a few batsmen to make 20-odd and we should get up. After the last NZ/eng test going to the wire, wonder what the odds are on a tie? ;-) It...

Re: Australia v India

India out for 109 and Aus 1 for 105. Day 10 wicket on day 1 of a test. Whilst a long way to go, it seems as though losing the toss worked in our favour this time. On that deck, I wouldn't want to be chasing more than 70 or 80 in the fourth innings. The fact I'm still concerned that we could lose th...

Re: England cricket team wow

And people say test cricket is dead. My aussie colleague thinks we were robbed of the tie. I think, that's cricket. I'm guessin a certain person didn't see a ball bowled but that's the fun of it all. The previous ball to the final wicket bounced way over Anderson's head but wasn't called. Unfortuna...

Re: Rangers v Celtic

I don't buy in to the good guys/bad guys narrative as there are idiots and bigots on both sides of the divide. However on Sunday I was disappointed on three fronts with Rangers Football Club and their support: Rangers F.C. refused to have their shirts embroidered with the team names and the occasio...

The cameras cutting to Becks just before Kane ballooned that pen was a little too prophetic.
NOC - if he did that in the NL derby (and spurs went on to lose) how much worse would you feel than now?

Accidentally...yes.
In the end England came out in the final session as the only team trying to win the game and eventually did.

All 3 results still in play - would be monumental for England to lose given the position they were in after day 1

They tried to play tika-taka but went absolutely nowhere that 2nd half.
1 defensive mistake and a keeper that jumped too early on the shot and they now may not qualify if Germany win and they don't get a result v Spain

Hard to believe Lewandowski just scored his first goal at a WC. After all the goal scoring records, he has in his playing career. Just for perspective Tim Cahill has 5 and Mile Jedinak has 3 Certainly not through lack of trying! Happy for him and you can tell how much it was playing on his mind - e...

Without knowing figures, as someone who has been involved with SAASL for years, I’d be happy to take the financial hit and get away from the absolute shambles that is the organisation. I don't understand why there aren't any contingencies in place in case of rain. The games take maybe 3.5 hours - you could have a couple of catch-up days with some triple-headers and make sure each game gets played. For the record I don't care about this tournament and a "T20 world cup" is...

It's grand final week - best time to get the most publicity out of this. Personally I don't fully believe all the initial reports, but I also don't think it's rubbish so the real truth is somewhere in-between. For me it doesn't taint their premierships (like others have claimed) but it sure stains t...
