Re: Hot Weather Policy - W-League
They do have an unfair advantage not playing on grass. However, the other teams know they are going to play on carpet weeks ahead and can plan accordingly bringing the correct footwear etc. Perth couldn't do that. I rarely comment on the W league and I don't think I've ever commented on the youth l...

Re: Hot Weather Policy - W-League
Clearly you can't see the full picture. 1. People bought a ticket for a double header, they didn't get it. Surely there's a legal argument that every ticket should be refunded as the publicised event didn't go ahead. 2. Adelaide gained an unfair advantage with the change of surface. They didn't buy...

Re: Hot Weather Policy - W-League
I think it's ludicrous for the women to be scheduled to play at 4:00 with a temperature forecast of 40 degrees when the men have been rescheduled- how is it any less dangerous? I hope someone has the sense to call it off. Wouldn't be worth losing a player to heat stroke just for a television opport...

I wouldn't have thought so. They'll just do what they do in the A-League when it's hot and take drinks breaks during each halfFoundIt wrote:37 forecast for sunday. Is there a hot weather policy for the w-league that may force a change to the scheduled 1:30pm kick off time?

Re: AUFC LadyReds v Newcastle
Over the 90 minutes i thought the end result for both teams was fair. Both goals were fortuitous with Adelaides coming from a rebound that Tiarn probably didnt know much about and Newcastles coming from an unfortunate fumble onto the strikers knee. I thought Adelaide looked slow in both fullback po...

Adelaide United vs Western Sydney
For those who attended, thoughts on the game. 2-2 at FT. I thought AU were very slow to get into the game in the first 30 odd mins, which showed with the 2 goals conceded, but worked into it well and did very well to get a point, and should have snatched the game in the last minute.

I'm over in England at the moment and hearing over here that Ancellotti will take over. Possibly as early as Wednesday or Thursday. In saying that, rumours are flying around left right and centre. But this one seems to be the strongest floating around

Re: Westfield W-League 2015/16 Season Draw released
Given that the W League starts in 4 weeks, has the lady reds squad been finalised? I saw the entire Sydney FC squad was announced about a month ago. I saw this morning that Emma Checker has signed for Canberra. Disappointing that we were not able to entice her back home. Which local players have be...

Re: Is a Southern Premier league team about to fold?
Sturt Marion will fold if they do not merge with Cumberland. However, Cumberland have decided that they will not merge with Sturt but will wait for Sturt to fold and they will pick up the players. The FFSA will not intervene as they would like to see less Clubs in the WNPL in 2016 as it forces club...

Metro United win the Double
League result stood as 5-2. Cracker of a Cup Final last night with a 1-0 win to Metro thanks to a Lauren Steer cracker. Justice for the best team in the League this season.

I believe the crowd number was closer to 500. Sold out of just about all food. And yes, if one person hasn't wrecked it for everyone, it would have been an amazing day for Womens football in this state. Let's hope there is a similar crowd, if not bigger, and just as good a game in the Cup Final next...

I'd be willing to say that Metro Reserves will give Sturt Prems a run for their money. Almost match of the 1st Round. Can see a 4+ goal game to be honest.

This is so painful to read. Why sportsbird cant just name players/coaches is stupid. You make these points but make no sense because no one has any idea what you're on about. And everyone else is just biting on sportsbirds line. Reeling you in every time. I think I just wasted a good half an hour re...
