Re: SAASL Cup - Round 2

TK Shutter? Oh, I just got it. No, Metro (as in City). The pitch just to the west of the roundabout on Frome/War Memorial. Best lit Uni pitch. I'll remember to take my compass down so I know which way is west. Put the hills behind you and walk forward...towards the best lit pitch. If in doubt, west...

Re: Law changes for the Euro - interesting. Will SAASRA adop

Law 12 - fouls and misconduct Denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity in the penalty area is no longer a straight red card - unless the offence is holding, pulling or pushing; there's no attempt to play or no possibility of making a challenge; or it's an offence which is punishable by a red card...

Re: Amateur referees poor knowledge of The Laws Of The Game

Can't believe how poor the knowledge of The Laws Of The Game that Amature Referees have. I am not complaining on interpretation as that is of the opinion of the referee. What I am concerned is the mistakes on point of Law. For example. 1/ Ball has gone out for a goal kick. During stoppage of play a...

New SAASL Website

It's up.

Same same. But different!

Looks like they need to iron out some formatting bugs. Like that it looks like they will have previous years results/tables eventually.

Still no fixtures.

Am I wrong? Second comment harsh, but they obviously don't value the SAASL... So seeya later! A bit harsh, although I see the point, few if any clubs can make a massive move to the Federation and then leave a club in the SAASL - especially at Division One level - not sure if Metro or Comets fielded...

Re: Never self-report

I guess it depends on what's on the line if you don't conform. Many of these players were young kids in their first year or so of their dream job. I'm sure if they kicked up a stink about this they'd be out the door. The line up behind these kids to take their place is very long. Not that long if y...

Re: RESULTS DIV 1 September 12th.

Anyone know the last time a team avoided relegation with just 12 points. Usually need about 18-20 points to stay up. Wow, that's a really low tally. We got relegated with about 21 a few years ago. I think 20 is the magic mark. (like 40 in the EPL). Well done to stirling for the win this weekend. Bi...

No one (keeper included) should be going up with their knee out. One of the first thing any keeper gets taught is to jump and protect yourself with a knee up... Should be a free kick every time. If a midfielder jumped like that making contact it would be a free kick, so why not if its a keeper. Kid...
