Re: Saturday Div 2 & 3

So does that mean Div 4 would only have potentially 7 teams? If we lose three from Divs 2 and 3 to make them ten team leagues, and Blue Eagles, Southern Breakers, Aldinga and Strath plus East Adelaide being formed, potentially an eight team competition..

Wasn't aware of that! But that's probably because everybody below them didn't want to travel to Pirie so they gave them a free pass

Re: Modbury Amateur Side

Modbury Soccer Club confirms that it will enter teams in the South Australian Amateur League (SAASL) in 2019. To support continued growth in demand for senior men's football, and to provide opportunities to players who wish to play for the club but can't commit the time required to play in the FFSA...

2019 Coaching

After having this season off, looking to get back into coaching again next season - just wanted to get an idea of any clubs currently advertising for coaches in 2019. Having coached at both reserves and first-team level, ideally looking to take on a first-team role, day/division doesn't bother me, h...

Re: When will things change ??

A very ordinary day at Ingle Farm yesterday which unfortunately took the shine off a very entertaining game. So we have a game where 2 teams are having a real crack with one looking to stay in touch and the other looking to strengthen their spot on top of ladder. A really good crowd in attendance i...

Re: Rule Interpretation

Also herd the same ref played a 54 minute second half, the real issue is the ref standard is horrible despite the alignment to FFSA 52:28 in the second half, seven minutes of stoppage time at which a goal was scored after 6 of those minutes. There were 5 subs in the second half as well as two injur...

Re: 2018 Fixtures??

I know of one team that got relegated who have complained they should be the given the option to stay up, which is complete crap. If you get relegated and 6 teams pull out, then you still have to go down. I remember at Para Hills Lions in 2012 (I think), they had to go up to Div 2 due to a club pull...

Brahma have the option to postpone and also throw their plans out and then have 14 days to reschedule. Silly if PHE don't come to the party. Not helping fellow amateur clubs not a good look...let's see what comes of it Has SAASL ever allowed a club to postpone and reschedule a fixture before? Surel...

You would be pretty disappointed if you were a Club in the lower divisions and had your head coach walk away this close to the season starting. I guess it comes down to values, do you honour a commitment or do you seek the opportunity to be part of something bigger.... What if you're not cur...

The standard of referee's hasn't dropped. The numbers have. Due to continuous harrassment from teams. Both physical and verbal. Officials go out week in week out to help run the games. They make a mistake or two and they are threatened or bashed. Get a grip, are we serious??? Why can't we just go o...

Re: Email from SAASRA

Interesting that FIZI have lost by forfeit this week, SAASL taking action or was that due to SAASRA not providing a referee?

FSASA have also been given two forfeit losses for next two weeks (and a bye in last week), so are we looking at the second culprits?

So a club has one person who misbehaves, they deal with it appropriately and you would punish a whole club? They aren't dealing with it though, because it's continually happening with the same clubs. Why should referees and opposition players/supporters have to put up with it? They shouldn't in tho...

To be honest every teams coaches would say something to the effect of 'take him out' to the opposition, I can't imagine too many want the blokes legs broken. Can remember a few instances against Knights where a similar statement came from the technical area. It happens, and I presume Foglia still ha...

Typical gutless SAASL, good on SAASRA for having the balls to say enough is enough after countless issues the past few seasons. Name and shame the clubs I say! And sorry once again to the men and women who help keep the game running, are continually harassed, attacked and abused by the idiot minority.

Re: One Tree Hill Vs Northern Wolves... All in brawl

Probably a daft question but what's the deal with CSL. Do you have to be associated with a posh school or Uni to join or is it open to any club. you apply to join via their AGM held in November, the clubs then vote to decide whether you are accepted. Cheers for that. Never really thought much about...
