Ok.
I won’t argue as you seem to know more about it all.
I think I said it was both- not either or.

Re: Dylan - selection to the Matildas
Sorry Sad Gal- she was in the state program from U/12, U13-NTC. And identified by “the system” at every level. Also a young Matilda. So she is a product of that system, but more recently of club coaches at City and United, and other trainers/supporters. It takes a village...

Re: AUFC - W season 2020-2021
Announcers said it was a quad injury. Don’ t think her not playing was due to any conspiracy or anything. “Manipulated” seriously?
And once it was announced that the Matildas camp would be European-based players only, those who could get there did what they could to get there. Understandably.

Re: Dylan Holmes Captain of Adelaide United
I have been reluctant to post in this matter for obvious reasons- but I’ve noticed that there has been no discussion here regarding the long-term benefit to Adelaide United of Dylan going to Sweden. Firstly, I think the team is deep enough, and enough players are hitting their straps at the right ti...

Adelaide United v. Canberra
Good win tonight. Annie Grove was impressive in goal and Emily Condon had a good game. Some missed chances in front of goal but they held on and are 3rd with 5 to play. Hopefully they can eke out a win v. Sydney next weekend.

Re: Alex Chidiac Signs with Melbourne City
Sportsbird, it’s like comparing Liverpool with Leeds United. Some clubs are big and have lots of money to splash around on facilities, coaches and players. Some are small and don’t have the resources. Ask any player born and raised in Leeds who they’d rather play for and there’s no question. You can...

Re: WNPL Grand Final 2020
Lucrative three year player contracts? That’s funny.
Ended up losing? They lost one game at full strength. By one goal. Won the minor and the cup. Completed the season with a goal per game average of 5.3. Whether Max was there or not had nothing to do with any of that.

Re: WNPL Grand Final 2020
To suggest that Metro had more of a team commitment is rubbish. Metro was better on the night. Well done. But I stand by my comments above. And to suggest that there was or is internal division in the City squad is also incorrect. They are a very tight-knit group. Sometimes great teams lose. Doesn’t...

Re: WNPL Grand Final 2020
The solution that was arrived at was the least worst option. There was no perfect solution. Seriously, who were they going to get mid season who would have been up to the task?Perhaps it had an impact on Friday night- we’ll never really know.

Re: WNPL Grand Final 2020
Nobody at City is second guessing the decision regarding Max. The appointment was untenable and not a good match at all. Max is a lovely man but not the right fit for the City squad. Nobody has any regrets. And to suggest that Metro is somehow more of a team than City is totally ridiculous. City is ...

We can’t even get a full home/away schedule. Players won’t come back until the WLeague is fully professional. I don’t see that happening for a long time, if ever.

I believe I said that it wouldn’t be the same. It will be different. I think it will be more competitive as a competition. I see that as an opportunity for Adelaide United.

Re: Head of Women's Football
No. W-league won’t be the same standard as in previous years. But united’s core will be the same. And we will be more competitive. Which is exciting. It’s not about “being fooled”. It’s about an opportunity for these girls to show the other states that they’re competitive when the financials are all...

Re: Adelaide United Keeper Quits Club
Riggles, Sportsbird normally gets part of it right. Sarah has left the club. Yes, that's true. It's the why that's a bit off. She's got aspirations to get into the Matilda's camp. In order to do that she needs to grow as a player. She's been at United for over five years. She needs a new challenge. ...

I don’t know. I’ve heard that Modbury is keen to come up. I’ve also heard that FSA has said there will be no relegation/promotion. So I guess we’ll see. 2020 has been a singular year where everything and anything seems possible.

The men also get paid in excess of the revenue they generate. The men and the women are performing the same job, putting in the same hours and commitment. They should be paid.
I can't believe someone even thinks this is debatable.

Like all players across NPL and WNPL, the City women have take a drastic pay cut. From what I understand, the men and women had their pay cut by the same percentage.
