Spanish Missionary position and Floating Artiste let me down, faaar.ken.

But the missus won big with “Verry Elleegant” (spelling and weirdo names - why do they do that?).
At least she had the good grace to pay for my meal, Cascade Light and our friends’ drinks.

Re: EPL 21/22

Arsenal done good @ Leicester, especially in that first half. Very positive play. Now up into 6th place and could go higher because surely the Hammers can’t sustain their run. Reminder to those who sometimes forget the ‘support-through-thick-and-thin’ principle: the Gunners have garnered 17 points o...

Re: First EPL manager to be sacked

British papers reporting Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo on verge of been sacked tonight UK time. Good or bad, he's not the real problem. Levy is plain stupid for trying to squeeze every last penny out of a player who quite clearly wanted away. £120m buys a fair bit of reinforcements if wisely spent...

Re: T20 world cup

Wot a joke of a so-called “World Cup”! FIFA should have patented/trademarked the words “World Cup” as the truly world-wide tournament so this crickette mob couldn’t use it. I sense no-one gives a faaarrk about this T19 bashathon. Certainly Warner doesn’t. Even to bashathon aficionados I pose this qu...

good luck in the playoff against South American opposition  Doubt it will be needed. With all those home games to come, should at least come second to Saudi Arabia and qualify. Lost 1-2 in Japan tonight. Just can’t quite get over the the line over there. Hit the post in the first half and should have scored. Gutsy effort to equalise in the second half but then conceded an untidy winner to Japan late on. Now onward for some home games to seal qualification for World Cup 2022.

In the end it was a 3-1 win with second half goals by Boyle and Duke.

Not their best performance so will need to improve against a desperate Japan on Tuesday 12 October (8.44pm S.A. time on Ch10).

1-1 halftime versus Oman. Good early goal by Mabil, but then Australia’s midfield was over-run. Oman collectively and individually with better ball control. Oman deserved to equalise, despite losing their best player to a shoulder injury. I hope Arnie shakes the players up during the break because R...

Arsenal switched on during the first half in the derby to lead 3-0.

Might have gone to 4-0 in the second half when there was shove in the back of Partey.

Gunners gotta keep this momentum going now.

Good start in this second phase of qualifying with a 3-0 win over China. The shock in this group was Japan losing 0-1 at home versus Oman, which will help Australia’s cause. Very heartening to see some of the Olyroos stepping up to the senior team, including Gawler boy Riley McGree. Now on to Tuesda...

I remember in a previous campaign they dragged us to high-altitude (6,500-feet) Kunming for a 0-0 draw, then beat us 1-0 in front of 70,000 in Sydney.
