Re: WNPL and State sports Park
The place needs an overhaul. Pitch not the best many players have ongoing injuries and soreness from the very poor playing surface.. Location of coaching boxes is insane. Facing the rain and wind. Zero protection. even in summer. Until then can WA and Fulham pick another place ie the Parks. The whol...

Yellow cards
Must have been a tough game to officiate on Friday against City and NTC. 6 yellows in one game. 4 for the later.

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
Not seen it happen. Maybe at Metro but little elsewhere. In fact very little is open when the games are on. Not viable. The Parks has the canteen and bar open.

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
Playing at other venues at the different times does not support growth of the culture of the game that occurred when games started to get played at either Parks or west beach. We're back to pre those days where games are all over the shop. I'll keep banging on however de-centralisation for the WNPL ...

Re: Junior Academy trying to influence where kids play
No problems here. Freedom of choice. The Academy obviously ahs the benefit of seeing clubs from afar and where their student would be better placed.
This is a very old chestnut with clubs and academies at odds. Again.

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
If I'm honest (which I am) then get back to the Parks and leave the Taj Mahal for the others to enjoy. WNPL has lost its soul and the unification of the cubs and supporters who came to one venue to watch four games of WNPL.

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
Not sure throwing money around is the correct terminology. Player market within the WNPL is dictating that some players have a value. from outside looking in, this is a good thing and reflects where the WNPL is at. Some clubs are successful but want to go the next step or two. Some are new to the WN...

Re: WNPL Season so far
I think you're on the money (pardon the pun). Spending in the wrong areas. As far as accountability goes, it's the club that is accountable. Where it spends its money on player payments. What a plyer is to give back is something that should be discussed when the $$$ are flashed about to entice them ...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
Not sure why this topic and the posts have ended up becoming an off topic discussion about who is or isn't suspended. Personally these fixtures across the weekend and at various venues is only to serve one thing. Its clear to see that the FSA wants clubs to play away from the new venue because of th...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
I'm not saying $10 is too much and I always support the teams/clubs. Your analogy about a band is nonsense. I agree a value needs to be placed on the game.

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
I can see that there are some benefits. Clubs always looking for a way forward. The timing of the games is an issue. Been going on for a few years so the discussion is good. I'm a purist and I like the Friday night "game night". Pre-west beach and the Parks the wnpl was played on a Sunday ...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
All for double headers but I agree that the atmosphere and vibe created over the last few years at the Parks is (at this stage) absent from the new venue. The double headers (4 game in total) created a good place to go and watch other teams in the WNPL. This is the casualty. As far as revenue raisin...

WNPL Season 2022
Been a while. Lots happened. Here are a few thoughts Good 1) Congratulations to AUFC for making the finals. Good season. Golden boot. Passionate and inspiring performances. This experience will see the team prosper and make successive finals. 2) The expansion of the WNPL to include Modbury and Birka...

Get Rid of Double Headers with men
Time for these double headers with WNPL and NPL teams to cease. I sued to be a supporter of these things however, they’re occurring every weekend across many time zones and in various venues. Whilst the concept is good, the move to these double heads are not good for the WNPL. Why? The benefit and s...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
The comp isn't that flushed with talent for clubs to bounce back. Legation will undoubtedly mean an exit. Cumby won't recover. Fulham need a kick in the pants...relegation has been a threat to them for years. Not serious about its women's program. Focus is on its State League 1 team. BIrks are heavi...

don't disagree with your comments in here about sink or swim however, comets is a good point to note that prior to promotion it had done well in it league. Set itself up with a good juniors set up however, it started to embark on a recruitment program backed by $$$$ of WNPL players whom moved into t...

NTC vs SASI
My favourite topic. Both programmes have a lot of money and resources at their disposal. NTC are working hard to set up a structure for success. The changes in coaches has been good and brings new thoughts and ideas and attracts the right people. IN its short time the future looks bright for the NTC...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
Good comments. For me, we need to bank on the success of the Matildas and the upcoming word cup. I would not relegate anyone from the WNPL. As it stands Fulham are at risk and Uni in a precarious spot. The are both hard working teams/clubs that have shown that they have the structures and resources ...

Re: Matildas squad for Tokyo
Well done to Charli. I agree Junior that we in SA are on the cusp of some increase in representation. The risk from NTC to Matildas is in my view predicated on 2 things. A want to achieve and the environment where it is inevitable. I know I have banged on about this a while ago however, worth noting...

Junior I acknowledge that you credited the pathway post junior years. Apologies.
Do I know everything? Experience is the teacher. The fool's paradise (unfairly) is that the juniors coming through believe that there is only one way to the Matildas. It has been the case.

Re: Dylan - selection to the Matildas
Junior....are you kidding me. state program under 12/13 is a life time away and had had NO bearing on her development. Her opportunity came at club and w league and personal determination and hard work. NOT the state programme. There comes a time Junior that the past cannot be credited with successe...

Dylan - selection to the Matildas
Congratulations first up Dylan on a wonderful opportunity. You earned it through hard work and determination. You have done this without being a part of any elite pathway program aka the gatekeeper (I stand to be corrected). No NTC and definitely NOT SASI. You have set the standard for what needed t...

Well written Scar. As afar as humble pie goes, book a table all of you that want this to occur. Not on here. I don't think anyone who writes on here wishes to be a pain and dislikes the AUFC W. Contrary, I think they all bother to write because they want our team to succeed...finals is a fair exampl...

Finals here we come - AUFC-W
If our team fails to get a finals berth this season, I will......... Seriously peoples, we must make the finals. The game yesterday wasn't our best but boy did we do what was needed to get the win. Good to see we got 3 past the defector to WSW. If we do there needs to be a close look at the squad so...

I agree with your comments however, this is an opportunity of a lifetime. I wish her well. The team will recover from this and do well. Team spirit is high. In regards to her time in Sweden, it will be a different comp. Different level of players. It will not be the W league. Guaranteed. In the past...
