Re: Newcastle vs Adelaide United
They will do it . There are many positives for this season. Confidence building. However, the eye needs to be on what the team needs moving forward. This season is an anomaly with a compromised comp. How would we have fared if the internationals and Matilda players were playing for many of the easte...

Fair point/s SB. I do not find any of your posts offensive, rude or disrespectful. I may not always agree however, you write in depth posts and I respect that. It means you do care. Some may find it repetitive and question your motives however, it's food for thought. I am not getting caught up in so...

Re: AUFC-W
Sportsbird (agree or not) does construct a decent post. We can't all be the same however, if he/she has the interest of the game at heart then I'd say there is some discussion that needs to be had. Anyway the comp has somewhat suffered from a lack of internationals and local OZ players still o/s. It...

Re: Coaching Movements
Wash up from season 2020? Which coaches are where? Comets and City have new coaches. New to the WNPL. Not just established heads moving from one club to another. Better throw Fulham into the mix with their new bloke. Good to see new people at the helm. Won't be long before pre-season games start. Wi...

Excellent start to the season. Keep it up. Although we sadly lost game 1, we finished the game off in a defiant state of mind. The long range goal made a huge statement. The next 2 games said a lot about the character of the team and coaches.

Re: Coaching Movements
WA has and always will have internal problems. Intrinsic and part of their DNA. Problems are attracted to a place where everyone has an opinion and knows the reasons for problems. Ideas men. Majority if not all the supporters sit/stand on the sidelines and are quick to strut when their team is winni...

Re: WNPL ROUND 5
Brilliant summary I suspect Junior supporter will (as usual) jump in with “be more specific. Who and what hen where?” I think we see the game generally at a cross road and change in lists etc that has an impact. Regarding sportsmanship, I am sick and tired of seeing a very small cohort conducting th...

Re: WNPL ROUND 5
Did not see the game however, the tactics and "sportsmanship" exhibited by many (not only the very highly remunerated SI striker) over the last few rounds has caused me concern. wnpl players should demonstrate the highest level of integrity and sportsmanship and fair play. Sadly a few rogu...

Too scared to make a prediction.

Many result predictions and team analyses. Excellent reading. Some brief and some with detail. Whilst early games are hard to gauge I think what we have seen so far is indicative of what lays ahead. Some may disagree.

Hopefully the heavy rain and thunder arrives. To play in high humidity irrespective of the temperature is wrong and dangerous. Humidity is the thing that does damage.
Needs to be re-scheduled.

Re: AUWFC Vs Camberra
They had chances for sure.
Willacy did an excellent job in goals. Question is that given her selection into the Matildas and her W League form the last 2 seasons, will she be in Adelaide next W League season? I think she'll go. For National career progression and AUFC-W form reasons she will go East.

You know things are on the nose with AUFC- W when not even Migliacio writes anymore articles about them. He's jumped off the wagon 3 weeks ago I think they will win a game and or get a point from a draw and then we will all hold hands and say it was another year of almosts. The happy brigade in here...

Not sure any comments herein have supported that the Lady's are in a good space. The league table...no tell lies. SB may be on drugs but some on here are manufacturing them and probably overcome by hallucinations from the manufacturing process.

Well said Sporstbird. Unacceptable rubbish. Many of our local players needed a long break (apart from Willacy and John). The Fowler girls are basically allowing ego to precede their abilities. Immature.

The Roar v The Reds
Only a win can salvage the Reds' push towards finals. Draw not ideal but at least a point whilst a loss is (I'll choose my words wisely) will make it impossible to make the top 4. Again.

Thanks Michael. Please enlighten me with your views on season 2019/2020 Sportsbird…..Gone but not forgotten. Sportsbird…..Gone but not forgotten.
At least Sportsbird offered rational and proper discussion but I can see where some of its posts were reminiscent of mine (before I was re-educated).
AUFC-W are doing really well and we will win the remaining matches.

Blind faith or optimism? The women's game has had blind faith for too long. Faith in SASI, faith in NTC. Faith in a myriad of AUF-W iterations. The game and the players deserve better. I am a supporter of the women's game and my posts are balanced and objective and is lacking "hope/close enough...

All is good. We will make the finals. Let's do it AUFC-W Any changes to this team so that we can get a much needed win? Unfortunately too many young inexperienced girls have been elevated into the starting line-up & although they have performed just ok, I now fear a loss vs Brisb (next game) wil...

Yes he did. Nice bloke. Good coach however, the bar at city has been (deservedly) been set very high. Expectations at the club and with players would be extremely high too. As expected. Brave man to take on the gig. He's obviously refreshed and ready for a challenge away from the confines of fulham....

Re: Adelaide City Appoints Max Primaro as Head Coach
A lot of diplomacy shown on this subject. I'll add my 2 cents. Like it or not, the appointment isn't sitting well with people at city. Not matter how you dress it up, people at city aren't convinced that this was a good move. My views are that city may not be able to offer the $$$$$$$$$$$$ it once h...

Might be time to revisit some of the comments herein. For one it's Matildas. They are as good as they say. What you see if genuine effort and honour to play for their country. Are they the victims of stupid decisons by the FFA? I'd say yes. Should the players expect the barrage of abuse? No. Should ...

Interesting replies. Very good I look at the Matildas over the last 5-15 years and there have been many players in SA that have missed a golden opportunity. Good and exceptional talent destroyed by incompetence under the old system. And those afforded the chance to go to camps they were ill prepared...
