Re: WNPL Season 2019
I'd imagine it was promoted via the club's social media platforms. The question was not about the clubs. Rather the opportunity that was available at the Parks last Friday night to leverage off the excellent breakfast event the day prior. What do you suggest?

Re: WNPL Season 2019
Round 1 has come and gone. International Women's Day coincided with round 1 and may I say, I was underwhelmed by the lack of exposure or promotion that IWD received at the Parks. I was probably expecting a lot more given that all games were scheduled at the Parks to celebrate this wonderful day. May...

Re: ADL v SYD
WOW what a night in Manly and what a game. Result aside, the game had all the drama. We started sensationally with Latsko scoring. Then the weather break. Then AUFC continued to press and create chances. THEN Sydney turn on the afterburners. De Vanna left the pitch. Princess arrived and the game tur...

Re: Cumberland's Fall and who gains - Fulham and Comets
There is some confusion out there. Cumberland is out there spruiking them remaining in the WNPL and you saying they're dropped down a level. Someone's wrong. Cumberland have been making public announcements about coaches, presidents etc. and on that basis securing players (current and new) as a resu...

Re: Hall of Fame Inductees
Yes. I can see how one has contributed so much to the women's game. Unselfish. Of high integrity. Places the interest of the game first and foremost. And is an excellent role model that is there for the betterment of the game irrespective of which club who has/is involved with. A person of high pers...

Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19
Like most things in life Mega....Paid by many for the enjoyment of a few. If commercial interest is the thing we gauge remuneration then there would be many sports having little if any exposure. And there would be many getting exposure overload. The same could be said for the men's NPL in most State...

Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19
Very optimistic Coyote Luck isn't something that wins games (generally). A decent program to get the best squad together however, does win games. There is no proper lead up other than some hastily arranged trial matches against inadequate opposition. I was looking forward to many new names from the ...

Ditto to Adam's work too. Exceptional. Well said God is an Englishman and adam and Lucas. In reply to the others, Bomber. I'm not complaining. Val is trotting out the same storyline and expecting change. Get to the bottom of it and have a chat to the tight wads at AUFC and have a chat with SMA and F...

Re: Cumberland has a new Senior Coach
I commend the actions of Cumberland in regards to its announcements of a president and coach however, this is something that should have occurred many months ago once the issues with regards to the past president and WNPL coach started to become a significant issue. The team has fallen out of the WN...

Hindmarsh Facilities
Interesting article by Adelaide's inimitable Val. Yes Val we get it that the facilities for the women are unacceptable it goes beyond women vs male facilities. Hindmarsh needs to expand its facilities to cope with multiple teams. Been a while since I've bene in the bowels of Hindmarsh stadium howeve...

The WNPL Cup and FInal 4 Finals Series
If these events cannot get major local media support on free to air then it's F%^&ed. WNPL Football (not the BS AFL-W) has uber talented and skilled players that deserve recognition beyond the faithful that follow the WNPL. Keeping it hidden away and without due promotion is a travesty. Sad to s...

Thanks Coyote appreciate the feedback. NTC and Uni are locked in a battle for the 4th spot. I've seen Uni over the last couple of games and I must say that I've like their intensity. NTC is also a worthy recipient of the 4th place. Bring it on I say Agree with you SAD GAL. NTC have exceeded expectat...

NTC Program and WNPL
Looks like the NTC Youth team will be in line for a top 4 finish and play in the 208 WNPL Final's Series. Well done to the NTC team and especially the coaches for the WNPL Seniors and Reserves teams. Good consistent performances and results that have you in 4th spot. There is the challenge to remain...

Round 20 Tips
Here goes. Good luck to al the teams and no injuries. Adelaide Uni to draw with Fulham (what a revival by FUFC. They will stay in the WNPL) FFSA to defeat Cumberland (Sadly, the last 2 games for Cumberland will not be good. Relegation inevitable) Metro to defeat West Adelaide (WA have a big month ah...

Re: Round 19 Tips
Fair assessment Junior. You've bee ok with your assessment. Actually you've been on the money. All teams have a way to surprise on the night but I agree with City's superior fitness overall and that they should prevail as the game heads towards the 60 minute mark and beyond. Cumby under the new regi...

Re: Round 18
PM I reckon you're on the money. Most of the clubs and officials are sensible and make changes on the night. Those that want to make an issue out of it are being belligerent and unsportsmanlike. Main thing is to get the game going, have a degree of formality and proper dress code and do it in the sp...

Re: Round 18
Good sensible discussions. No I'm not saying all teams are required to have 3 different coloured strips. My experience is that the 2 H & A strips for the 10 players and the GK are approved before the season. I have heard/seen where a GK has 3 coloured strips. Common sense approach? Of course. BT...

Re: Round 18
Good questions I'll only take 2/3 on board and give my insight. Easiest first. 1) Solution to clashing strips etc. Bring both sets of playing strips to a game including 2-3 options for the GK. I think most clubs have that in place. If its an WNPL game, the FFSA allocate the strips the day prior to o...

Re: Round 18
Games played and won/lost/drawn and the ladder basically remains as it was/has been except for the relegation cup battle between Cumberland and Fulham. 3-2 Fulham's way saw them move off the bottom. I City v NTC was a predictable result but my spies tell me that NTC took it up to them Result predict...

Re: Round 17 Tips
I agree....No injuries is the main thing.
City 4 - Fulham Nil (2 yellow cards maybe a red)
Metro 2 - NTC 1
Adelaide Uni 0 - Cumberland 1
Inter 1 - West Adelaide 0
A few games to go but it looks like the ladder may stay as it is. The finals series will be a BEAUTY.

One thing we all agree on for sure is that the WNPL are being played in the greatest of surrounds and pitches on A Friday night with double headers, when compared to where it was only 5 years ago. Re: Round 12
Round 12 kicked off with a win to metro 4-0 over the NTC. Sadly it wasn’t on a Friday so I couldn’t get there. Solid result for metro and I wouldn’t discount the NTC making it into the top 4. The coaches of the NTC need to be congratulated for preparing the players and implementing a very skilful an...

Amen to the WNPL round 11 program. Big round of games. Some games will be hard to pick. A week off will help some and others who had started to get momentum may have wished they'd played last Friday. Games as follows. Adelaide University up against Adelaide City Salisbury Inter against the NTC West ...
