Time for Bouquets

Looks like women's football is going from strength to strength in SA. And maybe the little croweaters can arrest the sliding fortunes of our Matildas (Youth and Senior) with some of our most brightest (from SASI), set to crack the big time with some assistance from our coaches linkages with the Nati...

COngrats to Tracey Jenkins

Congratulations to Tracey Jenkins who will be an FFA observer/talent scout at this year's Nationals at Coffs Harbour. On top of her stint as assistant for the under 17's, and assistant at SASI, its only a matter of time before she lands the top job. New face. New voice. New idea and a decent gal! We...

fair enough. If we take that stance then we shoudl consider our 2006 Soceroos WC side as not worthy of a mention. They did not win anything. I rate Di up there too and many other men's reps over the 25 years.

SASI 25th Celebration

Today's paper has in the Sport's section a terrific write up on the 25th Anniversary of SASI. It names many of SA's SASI Products ie Hewitt, and the like. Tghe BIG DINNER IS ON TONIGHT and there will be a lot of back slapping. BUT THERE ARE NO FOOTBALL (SOCCER) Players. Male Female or those in trans...

Its good to go back and read comments re: the Not Happening National League. It somehow reinforces my comments in the other topic. I want to see the WNSL back where it belongs and a place to showcase talent from across Australia. If it is being planned by now, it won't happen again. ah ok, sorry. fa...

From my limited exposure around the womens' game, Skills is not what is being taught and encouraged. Those players who have skill and ability are quickly told to "stop being fancy" and play simple balls. They are made to feel somewhat inferior or a show off if they show skill above and bey...

Clubs who use intimidation and the power of forceful persuasion to keep players on their list must also face criticism. If these players who were wanting to move club were given the hard word, then its up to their parents (if minors) to step in and ensure that the move happens without any undue hara...

C'mon peoples. This has gone from a coach quitting. to State Team selections. To Cumby flooding. To SASI to Shorty's under 11's and her coaching creds. Everyone has presented an excellent argument to quote the great Terry Wallace (when Bulldogs coach). When he was questioned about the team's tactics...

Agreed all round. Olympic is a club that has great battlers and decent people. George is a legend. Needs more people to support him in his role. When he tried to resign a few years ago, he had to quickly come back to keep things moving along. Also, Olympic needs stability. stability in senior coache...

Under 16's Comp

How has this comp (in its 3rd/4th year) come along? after a shaky start and new teams coming in (others dropping out) has this become a good comp? Many questions were asked about its worth.
