Re: W league player rule
Depends where you draw the limit for "home grown". A large amount of players started at a different club in juniors and ended up at City. To me, that's not home grown Origin of every United player in last year's WNPL vs "home grown" club. Only two playing for their "home gr...

Re: W league player rule
After the rule was changed, two clubs fought it aggressively and it was changed to exclude goalies from the cap.juniorsupporter wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 11:07 am Anyone know how West Adelaide has been allowed 4 Wleague players?
Ironically West Adelaide were not one of those clubs.

Can someone explain with 8 teams having a bye why the 1st round wasn't just SL and Reserves sides?

Re: AUFC - W season 2020-2021
A reminder to some of the forumites, don't be fooled on a great start to the season by AU. They beat Perth Glory who have not won a game all the season. Now we wait for next season to see whats in store. They also beat Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne City, Newcastle and Wanderers but sure, believe your...

Ghan punishment -18 points and $1350 fine Everyone happy now? Nope.... How does 18 points deduction and a couple of grand stop them kicking the bejesus out of another club another time? Doesn't fix a thing.... Who fancies a game against this mob now?? The minus 18 points makes them so much le...

Re: Ladies Fixtures 2021
Why oh why can common sense not prevail? The Ladies Division 1 league this year have 7 teams and the Ladies division 2 league have 9 teams. Why can’t someone in authority not use this common sense to make the leagues even at 8 teams each. This would negate the need of 2 teams (1 each league) from h...

Re: Newcastle vs Adelaide United
Even if it comes down to the last fixture, a home game with everything on the line in front of over 10,000 people is a great moment for women's football in South Australia.

Re: HJ TEMPLIN PRESEASON CUP 2021
So is every team playing this Sunday? 48 hours since the incident and no statement from the SAASL .... I was once king hit in a SAASL game by a player of a club currently in the HJ Templin. Full view of everyone, mass brawl, etc. They did nothing. Kid played under a fake name the week after.

Re: Coaching Movements
Tracey has had previous issues with player dissent at Uni. She then departed. White City was the next port of call to assist in setting up their women's program. Then SI came about as an assistant/consultant. Then the SI coach was sacked and Tracey took over. Then the recruiting began this season a...

Re: Season review to date
Comets – What a sensational fall from what we saw in 2019. This is one team I expected to see an even better year. Have become predictable. A couple of go to players and not much else. Coach needs a new game plan. 2 wins in 2019 vs 1 win in 2020. Not sure how that can be classified as a sensational...

Metro don't. NTC don't. Adelaide Uni don't. - have in the past, not sure about current squad West Adelaide don't. - yes they do Inter pay some players so much I don't see how they could. Re: Adel Utd Coach to be Offered Further Contract Extension
Pretty naïve for you to ask me for names of clubs who do. I think you would be far better asking who doesn’t. Given my experience represents a small sample size, junior and women’s fees have bolstered the men’s game fees. Ask yourself, up until recent times, how many players in the WNPL were gettin...
