Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020

G'day

Not my information Junior. On the Net under player transfers for W League 2019/2020. Most of the information there has been confirmed so why not the information I provided?

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020

Latsko's transferred to Sydney FC.

The 2 Finnish players and Amber Brooks are not coming back to the W League. That for me is a huge loss and says a lot about the W League???

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020

There is a lot of time on between seasons to get things right. So I'd think most of the AUFC-W or detractors do have an expectation that things will change. For the better and results commensurate with good planning. Results (yep. Premiership and finals ARE A GOOD INDICATOR) is indicative of effort ...

That's the beauty of an opinion. We all have one and sometimes we are right or we are found to be incorrect.

I've been sent back to my corner.

Keep it up Sportsbird. The reaction indicates you've gotten close to the truth. Which others dismiss as lies.

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020

My observations. The major downfall of this forum is that people are quick to pick faults with the author and rarely focus on the issues being discussed. worried about duplicate identities. Worried about "who they are". Sportsbird (male or female) is not a friend of mine (we're all anonymo...

WOW. The comments keep coming thick and fast. Sportsbird has a thick skin. Keep up the hard work. For the others replying, if you have an alternate view, then please go ahead and enlighten me/us. Irrespective of your counter pro AUFC-W and Ivan stance, it'll be god to see what you have to say in rep...

Re: WNPL 2020

Agreed. Good to see most of the coaches returning. No NTC aka the FFSA's Lovechild. Fulham. Has John's departure been made public? Hasn't been a happy year or 2 over fulham way. Max isn't the fall back option this time. Leigh Matthews is my tip. As will be a mini exit of players. Player movements? T...

Re: Adelaide City Appointed New Head Coach for 2020

Max has had a season away from fulham and maybe he now has the drive and passion to take on city. After 3 brilliant years with Pezos and Calderbank and Hatzi. They’ve set the high benchmark that many teams will need to get to if hey aspire to be the best wnpl team/club in SA. From my understanding (...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020

Two good recruits. The others from our local scene will make an initial impact but then fall away when the finals beckon. Inadequate pre-season and conditioning program. AUFC relying on the flow on from a long year in the wnpl and rolling from W league to wnpl to w league to wnpl. Congratulation to ...

Proper recognition for our female football (soccer) players

I know that there are many female sports with unheralded athletes however, football (soccer) is undoubtedly the biggest female participation sport in Australia. AFL-W aside, women’s football is a truly international representative sport with many of our women representing Australia over the decades ...

Fulham FC Really? They have had zero involvement in the cross code player's development. And keep it in perspective, it's not the world cup squad. It's an exhibition match. And Emma's selection? same scenario. Exhibition match. well done to Jenna M, and Fulham FC among all the clubs they are the onl...

Well said Sportsbird and in no way do I think you’ve got a hidden agenda. The only agenda is form the betterment of the game. At the fear of being vilified I'm with Sportsbird. Yep I have a vested interest in women's sport and do give a damn about the continued lacklustre performances by AUFC-W. The players are not to blame. Long may the Adelaide City push continue because they will have a proper model and will be successf...

The Finals Week 2

Looking forward to the game this week. City v Salisbury inter will be one no one should miss. WA advanced to the final and their opponent may be a tad sore after this week's semi. I'm not going to predict a winner other than Westies to take the title of champions for 2019. Santrac is a shrewd tactic...

Judging by the many comments above, you may jumped the gun (I'm too lazy to research so I preface my comments with this) however, I understand your sentiments re; FFSA. I suspect it's about keeping them on task and accountable. With that I totally agree. I await with anticipation the relegation issu...

Re: FFSA Bringing the game into disrepute

Sportsbird. not good scenario. FFSA have played hard ball in the past with W League players and in this case, I am not happy that city have been shown to have thumbed their noses (with FFSA support) of the rules. Piss poor. Respect the other clubs and teams who do the right thing. Without them there...

Re: WNPL Relegation

Interesting discussion about relegation. If this was to occur then someone like the longstanding and respectable Cumberland should and would be very angry. I cannot blame them. They are a club with juniors, supporters and a long history vs NTC that has little in the way of a club and junior set up w...

Re: coffs nationals - same old story

Good discussions and sensible options up for discussion. Keep doing the same stuff for many years (a decade or more) and we always fall short. Insanity if we continue this way. The results permeate across the board. NTC/W-League and the like. The only change is to the cost. That always increases. Nu...
