Judging by the detailed recount of this "game", I know who R the G is. despite the fact that the girls are sitting near the foot of the table and that they only played seaford, they played some very good attacking football. the passages of play between Vikki and Greta were very good. Greta...

Alas The Great Divide Widens

Reading many of the posts in her about Womens' Soccer in SA, I am compelled to write a follwo up to a posting I wrote over the last couple or so years. What is happening with women's soccer in SA? After the highs of 3-4 years ago, it hit the skids. The gap between the better teams is and the "a...

Not bad topic here. Good constructive discussions. Take the emotion out of this discussion. No one has been personally mentioned and neither shoudl it. Only point here though, winning is the by-product of hard work, skills and ability. Apart from the last one, its the coach's domain to make sure thi...

Changes: Re-definining what development means and thus taking the focus off results Because if results are your yard stick (and that's what we have always read about on here ) then the results have been poor. If the development of a player is paramount then you need to look at the success of the pro...

Gubs.........So is Ad Hills one of the TOP teams? Looking at the table on FFSA, there aren't too many below the girls. Might be time to swing some SIGNIFICANT changes and use the squad as it was intended. DEVELOPMENT of players for possible inclusion in the Matildas squads. Girls should have won qui...

After the World Cup in 2007 I said that the EPL could not and does not produce the game that can succeed at International level. I don't think I've seen anything to prove otherwise.

Postecoglou gone

Is this a good or bad thing for football in Oz and is it a good move for SA?

Does this mean the assistants from across Oz get replaced too?

Re: Snakepit

Personally. Fitness is sometimes (most of the times) something clubs take a lot of risks with and have absolutely NO IDEA on how to plan/introduce/conduct and evaluate fitness sessions. The Snakepit is unstable and can cause many other problems. The adage across most sporting communities is that eac...

We haven't considered/discussed his professional ability??? Gubs touched on (via hearsay) however, the comment was "is he an asset?" I don't think that he's on an island with this one. At what point do incidents ie realtionships or inappropriate behaviour become an issue that prevents some...

From a playing/professional perspective yes. Better the devil you know than the one in sheep's clothing. When would say he has paid his dues? As my initial comments stated, he would be an asset to the game. If Farina were to relocate to Adelaide, would we not consider him to mentor our young "u...

Again we fail. No wonder we are losing kids to o/s clubs when we have to accept mediocrity across all our National teams. This never ever happens with any of our National Sports!!!

Come on Australia give us S.A players a go.

Maybe, Just Maybe Just Maybe a big name coach now back in Adelaide will want to make his was back into women's soccer??? After all he knows the women's game very very very well.

Thoughts? Would be a HUGE asset for one of our local women's PL team. ;)
