Re: Reminder: SAASL AGM MEETING TONIGHT

I think interest earned on the savings were about $50,000. Compare that to the fees collected of $350,000 and without the money in the bank you'd have fees going up over 10% to be self sustaining year on year.

Was also only $13,000 in bad debts, not $30,000

Re: Extra time

There's no problem with penalty shootouts as a mechanism for determining a tie.
The problem is that it is so heavily weighted toward the team that wins the toss and goes first.

Instead of ABABABABAB for the turn order, it should be ABBA BAAB AB for more parity.

"Playing the ball on the ground"

This isn't a foul, right? I assume it's a rule in some indoor/5-a-side/7-a-side competitions that some referees have confused with the 11-a-side version. I know that trapping the ball to stop an opponent from reaching it (like locking it between your knees) is a foul, but simply kicking the ball whe...

Glad to see Milwall get relegated from the Championship. In terms of clubs they are one of the biggest pricks there.

Re: Season ticket holders at Man Utd!!!

A lot of complaints come from the fact it's a cup replay against league 2 opposition, who the team should have beaten in first leg, now season ticket holders are being forced to stump up cash because the team was so abject.

And, it's £50 for League 2 opposition.

Expected ranking of 53 if we win the Asian Cup (winning every match, and the final on a penalty shoot out)

It appears at this point that Division 4 may be a division without a reserve league. A couple of the teams who had both a firsts and reserves side (I'm looking at Northern Pitbulls) have a second team in Division 7. If you look at the list of clubs compared to last year: Angkor: Promoted USC Lions: ...
