Considering the length of the suspended sentence, I think he's very very lucky to have had the entire 21 months suspended and not serve any jail time at all.
For what he did, personally think he should be serving jail time.
But yeah, his profile and Man Utd has probably got him off here

Re: Player Power vs Club decision
Sportsbird I'm not sure the clubs will take up the selection of 10 AC players to AU or FF SA. Why would clubs be concerned at selection? Is you concern about AC becoming the club of choice? The way I see it AC is currently at where Pezos wanted it to be with AC: Come to AC and you'll be a chance fo...

Australia & New Zealand to host FIFA Women's World Cup 2023
Well, we've done it. Australia and NZ will host the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023. Vote ended up 22-13 over Colombia.
A huge result for not only women's football, but women's sport.
This is a game changer for football in this country

Re: The fall of Adelaide City
UWS if you seriously think City had a better squad than Metro in 2016, you're delusional. Using the "City have players in the W-League squad and Metro don't" argument is bollocks and you know it. Metro should have at least 3, if not more in that squad, and it's absurd that they don't. As h...

A few in there that shouldn't be imo. There were better players in the WNPL than some who were selected.
And Mark Jones' daughter still in the squad. Which is absurd in itself.

Re: TEN TEAM COMPETITION NEXT YEAR
It makes absolutely 0 sense. The State League will be gone and it makes a mockery of the promotion/relegation playoff that occurred during the WNPL Finals Series.
And I agree, after PHKs woeful season, is their place in the WNPL next season warranted? I think most people would say no.

Re: Pezos to Coach AU Woman's
Again women's football is going further backwards. The major signing of the new Head Coach of Women's Football is a farce. He was appointed to this important role after being told by West Adelaide Club that he is no longer required. He has also caused issues as an assistant coach in the past with t...

What I have heard is only rumour and that is, all but two spots in the squad remain and to date only two local girls have been signed, the rest interstate and international. Apparently, a last minute trial has been set up this week for local players. I get the impression this only happened given th...

Re: WNPL Grand Finals
I think it's this Friday. Reserves at 6 pm and Prems at 8.15 pm Metro look set to win the double. A week's rest for the Prems will see off a city side that had to battle through 90 minutes plus 30 minutes of extra time and the penalties. An early goal to Metro will see city's coach (and the bench) ...

In what league are they entering? Not sure yet. I think it may depend on quality to some degree so best to enquire to Simon (see opening post) on that one. This could be an important decision to possible players as to whether they join the club or not... I'd think that this is actually a rather imp...

Note that, for whatever reason, for the WNPL games the Match 1 is at 8:15 and Match 2 is at 6:00... Re: Salisbury Inter WNPL 2017
We have received confirmation from FFSA that Salisbury Inter will be entering the Women’s National Premier League for the 2017 season. In that case, congratulations. It may be possible that no teams are relegated and 2 teams to come up to make a 10 team league. Would make the State League pointless.

Has this been confirmed by FFSA? Haven't seen anything official, and going by rumours, no club is certain to be promoted or relegated as yet.
As the rules state, it's entirely up to the Federation as to whether they actually do promote anyone or not.
