Re: Lady Reds In Disarray
Sportsbird, if you had put as much actual info or opinion in the past nobody would 'attack' you as you say, what you have posted now is your opinion and its fine, the past were just personal attacks hence people like myself will defend them. I didn't watch the week ends game so I cant comment on the...

Re: AUFC-W v Melbourne City
Sportsbird…..Gone but not forgotten. Interestingly however, over the years the same rebuttals (personal attack upon an opinion) have come from a select group of contributors who ALL seem to be happy with the performances of the AUFC-W and that near enough is good enough. Is this an SA thing? Please...

Re: AUFC-W v Melbourne City
HORRIBLE RESULT. And the coach, as I read it, has no great concerns? And they're having a pre-christmas get together.....................whilst the Titanic has SUNK. I saw the squad list, who didn't return and it is/was my concern that AUFC-W are on the nose. The bench is thin. Georgia is now a reg...

cheers Deep Throat. Sad to see you go. The happy clappers have won. Lets see how things pan out for AUFC-W and another season left to ponder. How about we all make a prediction here about the AUFC-W. I sense no one will say anything other than "Everything's great.Nothing to see." Its not ...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
I’m all for different opinions JS, it’s what makes us all love the game, but this is an obvious campaign to discrete Ivan. Let’s remember, it’s coming from someone hiding behind anonymity too, it takes a lot more courage to put your head on a chopping block than fire shots from the safety of your co...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
None. She’s at the end stages of her rehab. Hence AU didn’t take a punt on her, Sydney have. Criticizing IK for signing ‘injured’ players (one being just called up to the Matilda’s) but then shooting him down for not signing a player that hasn’t played since an act injury 6 months ago on a contract...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Veronica Latsko has signed with Sydney FC. What a huge loss to the club. I am very disappointed as Veronica was a standout player that offered us hope in making the finals last season. Question must be answered as to the reason why Veronica has chosen not to return to Adelaide United. I can assure ...

Re: Matildas being paid a quarter of average wage
More rounds for W league, then increased training in the WNPL, players going back to WNPL & spending most of the year training twice a week is enough to increase the standard of Australian women’s football. Is or isn't? Because if it's "isn't" then I agree, however many hurdles to jum...

Re: Matildas being paid a quarter of average wage
I understand there position, we being paid a lot less back in the NSL days, training in lunch breaks, going back to work to then go back for an evening session. Using annual leave days for away games, working all day before Friday night home games. Our base wage was less than an NPL clubs. Increasin...

Latsko's transferred to Sydney FC. The 2 Finnish players and Amber Brooks are not coming back to the W League. That for me is a huge loss and says a lot about the W League??? I agree it’s not good for the W league the Finnish girls not returning, but sure Sam Kerr not returning is a bigger concern....

Hey Mers, digressing to a relatively minor point - if the A.U. You’re a confident person - say something about that sign that has been eternally advertis...

Didn’t Latsko have a serious knee injury this year & has barely played a competitive game since so would have been a gamble for Ivan that if went wrong would have tied up a foreign spot?
Pretty sure she was keen to return to Adelaide.

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
The major downfall of this thread is that assertions have been made by SB regarding the contracting of injured players to the exclusion of presumably fit and otherwise comparable players. In itself this is a reasonable basis for complaint given the short season etc. What is very unreasonable is the...

Re: FFSA Bringing the game into disrepute
So according to these rules, if a club was hit by sickness or general loss of players (2015 Metrostars Mens team lost 5 players in a week) they would not be able to promote any players to their reserves team unless they had already played 6 games during the season? Promote, unlimited (from Juniors ...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Nice wrap, that’s the sort of thing this forum needs. From a GK perspective Sian still has experience to offer especially if Ev comes in at #2, Sarah needs to worry about Sarah so to have a mentor for a young GK like Sian would be fantastic. Like the men’s team, everybody would love to see an all SA...

An excellent cup run by Steve and the players, well done all at the Downs.
Hopefully this has inspired even more clubs next year, certainly has brought a bit of colour to the comp.

It’s absolutely disgusting.
As a male why would you want to be involved in this set up, let those disgraced there deal with it themselves.
They have damaged the Matilda’s brand massively.
