Re: Future players

By the way I completely agree with the lack of GK courses done here, we need a junior one done here to cover as many clubs as possible, both male & female so we as a sport can get basics right.

Re: Future players

So we have gone from Paul Merson's sample size of one team's admittedly lame goalkeeper warm up drill - and not being sure of the age group - to juniorsupporter's sledging a whole age group as unmotivated and not serious players just because they play u15s and arent in the WNPL yet. Well that reall...

Future players

Today I was watching a game in which an u/15ish women’s game was going on next to the one I was watching. As I do, I was watching the GKs warm up, it was painful to watch, another player underarming a ball to the GK barely moving, I’m not sure what the aim off what they were doing was, technically t...

Re: Adelaide Pumas Seeking Goalkeepers

Amateurs should be amateurs. Players that think clubs should provide everything for free and then still expect to get paid are n absolute joke. Ah loyalty where's it gone. The amateur league should be called the a nomadic or free-spirited person league, players leaving clubs for an extra $20 or a f...

I hope they let him know up front what he can and cant say & that its not all about winning. After last year you'd think nothing could take the shine off the Matilda's, one of the bright stars in our national sport last year, I couldn't have been anymore wrong. I hope they can get it back on tra...

Re: Adelaide Pumas Seeking Goalkeepers

No one's getting paid this season N8. Incentive is the chance to play Div.2 A grade. If thats not enough, then we'll go with what we've got. Incentive isn’t necessarily cash....fees,gloves,gear,equipment,coaching etc but each to there own good luck with your search If div 2 a grade is your biggest ...

Re: Dark Day for Vista

As for Vista, if I was in their shoes I'd be hanging on to the over 35s at least, one thing that many NPL clubs struggle with is having past players remain at the club as they dont have a social football outlet, these guys are the ones that help build the club culture, the guys that spend 10+ years...

Re: Dark Day for Vista

So it flows straight into saturday amateurs, have different requirements the higher you go, for example if you dont have the right facilities you're capped at SL2, or if you dont have 18's youre capped there, but at the moment SL2 dont have those so have all saturday clubs form on big comp? If SL2 i...

Re: Dark Day for Vista

They just need to pick a team that will be ready in 2 to 3 years & work with them. Their junior base is big enough, they just need to work out how to connect the juniors to the seniors then start a production line. Shows the need for Saturday Amatuers & colegiate League to form the SL3, then...

Well Im sure he'll get the chance as he signed for next year. I'm surprised if this is what Ivan is like as he wasn't whilst I was there. No difference. Ball. Goals. Referees. Off side. 11 players plus subs. Last time I looked, the pitch dimensions were the same. If you are interested in coaching, just be the best you can. the rest will take care of itself. Communication is good as well....if you only talk to not even half your playe...

Jim, great to see that you have taken an interest in this. Words cannot describe what I observed last night. This was an absolute disgrace and I do not hold the players fully responsible. The coach has to take most of the blame. The coach formulates his tactics, the coach selects his players, the coach creates his best formation. Well the coach has cost th...
