Doesn't really leave much room for penalties.

You would have thought common sense would allow them to change the Semi ties in the reserves given they haven't chosen a central location.

I am informed that as part of the draw process, a side from each competition were selected to choose a kick off time. Easts chose the later game.

Well I guess if Flinders selected the early time then it must be in their own best interests, unless I haven't understood what you have said.

I'm thinking it means one of the four teams were selected to pick their kick off time and the other teams are then drawn around that

Not sure exactly, only that Easts selected the later of the two times.

Flinders can't really complain anyway seeing as they didn't turn up for the draw

Five of the seven clubs were there for the draw. All four team names are put into the cup. In the ressies draw Brahma drew Easties name out first then Easties drew out Florina the first team name out gets to choose ko time. In the seniors Iggies drew out Brahma then Parafield drew their own name out & Brahma chose the late ko time being the first name out. That's pretty much how it went.

If Brahma drew Easties out first does that just mean Easties chose the time to play (as Brahma are not playing Easties)?

The Brahma representative chose the first team out of the cup, that team was Easts. At that stage Brahma were still waiting to be drawn.

Yeah ok that makes sense. They were just drawing teams, not there own opponents.
I thought the SAASL equivalent of Sepp Blatter would be picking balls out a bucket for the draw.

6 zip was it? Proper spanking! Possibly the early kickoff and the location to blame?

I think the better team won convincingly. Flinders had a few moments but on balance not close to good enough on the day.
All the best to Brahma in the final.

Easites ressies won the other semi

Inter were very sluggish early and Iggies looked pretty good on the break at times.
Their striker looked threatening a number of times.

Iggies could of been a couple up as an early free kick that was going in was tipped over the bar by the Inter keeper and not long after a wind assisted corner that was tipped away by the keeper that looked to be net bound also.
Inter should of had a penalty very early when Iggies keeper brought down Martini one on one and was nowhere near the ball.

2nd half Inter were much better and dominated most of it.

The Big Ref was interesting to watch.
Think his name was Steve ( well thats what a couple of blokes called him when abusing him )
Very card happy but all appeared to be one way !!

Not sure about the penalty claim....unsure as to whether Martini launched himself at the keeper or what, but he did get a bit of air time.
