Consideration of Reconstitution of Sunday Div 1 league

Post by churchill »

Round 1 commences this weekend and there are only 18 rounds of the season and maybe a sprinkling of the some cup games - is this sufficient for the Div 1 of the Sunday league - maybe the league should be expanded to 12 teams instead of 10 and then at least there will be 22 games for the season ? There are a lot of good young players in the comp that have been discarded by the federation teams and I think they deserve more than what they are getting now. I know of 1 young player that has taken the competition so seriously that he has lost 10 kg in 3 months so that he can be fit and play too the best of his ability.

Every time someone suggests increasing the games the topic of ground availability comes up given many clubs share grounds with other sports.
No country who has never qualified for the world cup should be allowed to host it at the expense of one who has.
Sod Japan, sod Qatar, sod Blatter and his cronies!

Not everyone is available mid week.

What’s the point when it’s generally the same 3 or 4 teams every year and he rest make up the numbers.... but we will see how it goes his year in Saturday div 2 with 12 teams and maybe if successful the league will look at it...but funny enough we still finish the same time as everyone else with 18 games so ground cost won’t be an issue

I always thought seasons here were too short.
