Huddersfield 3 Brighton 1 last night
and Newcastle only drawing with QPR 2-2
Which means the Leeds V Huddersfield game this weekend has increased in importance.

Huddersfield Town ( 2 ) Leeds United ( 1 )
89th minute winner from Michael Hefele after first half goals from Town's Isaiah 'Izzy' Brown and Chris Woods for Leeds...but the game went on for 99 minutes.
Plenty of yellow cards and 2 reds (both Managers) in the 90th. minute...typical Yorkshire derby !

Pretty even game - both teams had good periods especially first half. Mooy did ok but at times gave the ball away a bit to easily for my liking. Fast, tough/hard fought game that was played in pretty good spirit and was technically pretty good also. I thought the ref did a pretty good job for game that need a strong ref.swannsong wrote:Huddersfield Town ( 2 ) Leeds United ( 1 )

Huddersfield have issued an indifinite stadium ban to the fan who unfurled a Turkish flag at the home match with Leeds.

Whilst I agree that only the only national flags allowed at football in England union jack or St George's Cross should be allowed (I suppose we should allow flags of the nations we're playing against), that's a bit racist isn't it. I'm told Huddersfield have other countries flags up, the stars and stripes being a regular apparently.ozzie owl wrote:Huddersfield have issued an indifinite stadium ban to the fan who unfurled a Turkish flag at the home match with Leeds.

Leeds complaining about opposition fans being a bit naughty and upsetting their feelings. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Owls 3 Birmingham 0 l with first goals from new signings Jordan Rhodes and Sam Winnall. Mind you we rode our luck as Birmingham hit the woodwork three times.
Re: England - 2016-17 Still Going In The Championship :)
Queens Park Rangers ( 1 ) Huddersfield Town ( 2 ) Ended up a fairly lucky win for Town after going 0-2 up in the first half.
Australians Massimo Luongo and Aaron Mooy on opposing sides.

Now that is bad, a Millwall supporter being banned.
What was he a multiple murderer with a long history of rape and torture?
It would need to be that bad to worse than the average Millwall supporter.

This coming from a bloke who supports Leeds and Blackpool. Both clubs with history of hooliganism. Only last year, Blackpool caused a game to be abandoned due to hooligans in the crowd. Been a long time since that happened at Millwall.Old Master wrote: Now that is bad, a Millwall supporter being banned.

And I'm sure you don't need to be told about Leeds and the problems they have caused.
Once again, you're living in the distant past.

That from the man who still carries a torch for Glen Hoddle and shares his religous views and would like to see him become the England manager.
as Blackpool, there was absolutely no hooliganism in the pitch 'invasion', it was totally peaceful.
A Few younger idiots did charge towards the club board's box and bang loudly on the windows, shouting threatening insults at the club's owners, but nothing more than a storm in a tea cup really.
The owners deserved what they got, in my opinion, as they had failed to invest any of the money they received from the EPL on the playing side of the club and the club has now descended back into the bowels of Division 2 , or 4 in the old days.
The owners, the oystons, have been condemned by many in the football world, and even by some of the Judiges who have presided over trials where they have taken fans to court, for their lack of investment in the club since the heady days of reaching the EPL for the first time over thirty five years, or more.
The older I get the better I was.

Not hooliganism, they threw objects onto the pitch and also "invaded the pitch", that's almost the definition of football hooliganism.

Huddersfield Town( 1 ) Reading ( 0 )
Hudersfield's Philip Billing grabbed a 82nd minute winner over 4th. place Reading..(after Town missed a penalty earlier).
Keeps the pressure on Newcastle and Brighton who play each other in a few weeks.

You are obsessed with Hoddle, who by the way, was a decent player but a total cretin as a manager of England (can't blame him too much though as the poor chap was a Southerner), I have never seen him as anything else, but you choose to lie every time you lodge a post by describing him as my 'hero'.
Just another example of your lying and fabrication of facts.
The objects 'thrown on to the pitch' were Tennis balls, not the sharpened coins Millwall supporters are prone to using.
The pitch was not 'invaded' it was taken over during the half time break by supporters walking onto the field and sitting down until the security staff started getting rough with them, but there was no violence, just gentle resistance.
I don't defend Leeds because there is no need to, they are no worse, or better than many other clubs supporters, such as Millwall & Watford, and, as you cannot accept that they do any wrong why should I?
