They were slipping BEFORE Gerrard left. Yes Gerrard got the 'main job' out of the way by stopping Celtic's quest for 10 in a row
but if you are brutally honest his League Cup and Scottish Cup efforts were remarkably uninspiring.

When you consider Callum Davidson at St. Johnstone managed to secure a double with a fraction of the money questions have to be asked. It would appear that Rangers under Gerrard certainly didn't like the 'favourites' tag in Cup competitions as he failed in every one.

Though the bears are seething at Gerrard's departure I think he got out at a good time- limited funds for new players and the existing ones drastically losing form, not forgetting the challenge from an ever improving Celtic side.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will do well to steady the ship and keep his crew on board. He could consider clearing the decks and reshaping the team but how much time will be afforded to a now expectant Rangers' support?

It's Scotland FFS, there's only two teams in it, you can't do that badly. Even Charlie Bowman could manage Rangers to second place.

Getting Vista to 10th will be a bigger challenge.
West Adelaide Soccer Club president Alex Alexandrou said the club was still in a position to be playing and training at the new ground either by the end of the 2015 season or in 2016.
