TEN TEAM COMPETITION NEXT YEAR

Post by sportsbird »

Coming out of FFSA HQ, there are discussions taking place where a proposal is being or has been put forward for a ten team competition in 2017 instead of eight.
That means Para Hills Knight will remain in the WNPL and two teams to be promoted one we already aware being Salisbury Inter and the other is unknown at this stage.

If true, would have to be Campbelltown they finished second.

After this years performance do PHK deserve to stay in I dont think so. Makes a fast of any rules and regulations, if 2 teams go up what then with State League. The SL will vanish as quick as it started.

It makes absolutely 0 sense. The State League will be gone and it makes a mockery of the promotion/relegation playoff that occurred during the WNPL Finals Series.
And I agree, after PHKs woeful season, is their place in the WNPL next season warranted? I think most people would say no.

There has been no announcement that there will be a 10 team NPL competition this year. So there are no extra games as far as anyone knows. FFSA has announced the WNPL competition for 2017 as an 8 team competition.
