22 in the squad so 11 will not be making the starting line up - so a few miss out each game.

I do find it odd that not one Metro player even made the squad

A few in there that shouldn't be imo. There were better players in the WNPL than some who were selected.

And Mark Jones' daughter still in the squad. Which is absurd in itself.

Definitely some big names missing.

Some names shouldn't be there at all although I'm not sure if Jones is one of them, she's played two seasons of W-League with Newcastle and has just come off a 28 goal local league season.

So if people have an "opinion" on a "forum" they are called pissants?

Actually it is FIVE from Adelaide City. Georgia Campagnale played the entire season for City in its NPL team. I actually said (During the season) that, player for player, that City had the best squad in the NPL. The selection of the five City girls confirms that. It is only the fact that the club had a huge spate of injuries and the Head Coach's poor decision making in playing a number of girls out of position in the latter stages of the season and Cup Final/NPL Finals, that led to its trophy- less season. This includes some of the players selected for United's W-League team!

1. Can someone explain to me why not one player from FFSA State program or the NTC been selected for the W League 2016-2017?
Just as I have been saying for years, the FFSA state program is a waste of money with no future. The lies that are said to players in the state program
that you need to be in the development program to make the W-League.
2. Why is it that Daniella Di-Bartolo was not selected. Beyond me. I don't want to hear that because she did not trial. Trials mean nothing.
To pick your best players in the top league must be observed by the head coach watching the games each week.
3. Why is it that not one metro player was selected. That is an absolute farce a disgrace and an insult to the club.
I don't see men's Adelaide United players have trials to be selected.
4. When will the women's football ever be respected.
5. And finally, the lies informed to local players from an ex assistant coach now a player with the Adel United women's team on selection of the
2016-2017 W-league. A lot of players from the southern area unhappy at the moment with that player.

Maybe its just a case the Metro players are happy to play at Metros and didn't bother going out to the AU trials?

That sounds too simple and undramatic.

Maybe they don't want to play for a lesser team :P
There we go, far more dramatic.
