Southampton – Chelsea

Post by tomcapper »

We’ll look to stretch our winning streak to seven winners in a row with a low-scoring tie in Southampton. Southampton will keep its shape while Chelsea tries to break Claude Puel’s tight defense, but they’re unlikely to be breached too often.

Both of the teams have kept things tidy at the back. After nine games played, Chelsea have conceded nine goals and Southampton just eight goals over the beginning of the season. Today we’re likely to see a tightly contested affair with low tempo and both teams looking to keep possession. Not too much quick counters.

Puel will wait for Ryan Bertrand’s fitness test, but he should be good to go against his former team. If he doesn’t feel up for it, Sam McQueen will handle the left-back duties. He played surprisingly well against Manchester City, as the Saints held on to a 1-1 draw. Chelsea are still missing Cesc Fabregas and Kurt Zouma. The latter has returned to practice and could suit up next week.

Our tip

The under 2.5 is clearly the punt here, with Betway offering the best odds to cheap cialis black. We’re unlikely to see a lot of scoring chances in total.
