Poor behavior again?
Heard some not so nice things about a Victory V West Adel junior game on Sunday (not 100% sure of age group, maybe U/12's?). Allegedly, one lad lashed out and hit a girl player who was running rings around some of them, only to be defended by his coach saying "she started it", players getting involved in a melee and parents of course getting involved, and then sung the club song to irritate the opposition after all the hullabaloo.

Re: Poor behavior again?
I don't think Ref's are keeping proper control of their games either, not calling fouls which ends up with angry and frustrated kids, followed up closely by angry parents.
There was a bunch of pushing, shoving, shirt grabbing at one game and one of our kids had enough and looked like he was about to hit a player... we had to scream at the ref to get his attention to sort it out.

Agree and without bagging refs because i know without them there is no game but some of them do nothing to stop the games from getting out of hand, they need to stamp their authority early without being over zealous.

Yep blame the ref ....
Coaches, parents and players would NEVER want to take ownership

Re: Poor behavior again?
It's a Ref's job to keep control over the game, I've seen great Ref's too and they keep that control but when they don't and players are being hurt, young kids... it's inevitable for parents to get upset, that's their kids being pushed and kicked. You'd be hard pressed to find a parent who wouldn't start getting agitated over their child being hurt outside of a fair tackle.

A teenager has been banned 12 games for racially abusing an opponent in a junior soccer match – with the victim also copping a suspension for his response to the slur.

Prime example.
Same as if a player punches another player and that player then retaliates/defends himself and punches that player back, they're still both getting sent off and suspended.

It was such a strange situation, why people just won't calm down and start playing football, and then adults also interfere in this, why do it
