Canon EOS 60D

I have been looking at buying for a month or so now and use to do photography back in high school and Graphic School. After retiring from soccer was looking to get back into it as a hobby and want to take shots at Florina games and of my young boy playing and stuff other than sport also. I really would love to get the 7D but just can't afford it at present as I would have a body and that's it..
I can get the following for $1500 what are your thoughts or suggestions?

Canon 50mm F/1.8
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
Extra battery & 16gb card

seems like a good price. i use a 7D and the extra speed (both in shutter lag and frames per second) is what clinched it for me. very handy for the fast action.

my head says 7D and want it but unfortunately with Xmas my tax return only goes so far and don't want to be looking at a body saying wow looks good can't wait to buy a lens & take some pics.
Need to be giving it a whirl xmas day.

can always pick up the nifty-50 for $150 so you have something to play with

but seriously the 60D is a great all-round camera and that seems like a great price

ok bit the bullet and grabbed the 60D today got home bit of read of manual etc and a few quick snaps of the kids and the backyard with the 18-55 lens before the sun dropped.
