So then...

Post by Victoria's Secret »

I assume some will say spitting on a memorial is acceptable?

far worse than work colleagues supporting an employee by wearing t-shirts...

C'mon Marado, wriggle out of that one. All clubs have idiots following them, luckily they were arrested and (hopefully) they will be dealt with severely.

Marado, you repeatedly say LFC are racist and we know they are not, I know not all Man Utd fans are despicable and I won't tarnish them all like you do to LFC....

Calling Wenger a pedophile is also not very nice
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

let's really put it into perspective here.
now lets say that someone spit on a statue of a former great at the club or the Shankley gates that would be not acceptable.
but to spit on the Hillsborough Memorial where 96 people were killed including CHILDREN.
Let alone the reports of songs being chanted about Hillsborough.

I'm sorry but those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

some sing about munich
some sing about hillsborough
some sing about budapest
some sing bout istanbul

Find it funny that these supporters have their crowd singing their songs and then have a cry when it comes back at them. Makes me proud that I support my team that we can throw as well as catch.

Yeah, got to love people trying to take the moral high ground when they are in the pits of dispictablility themselves

Actually, I remember you qualifying for UEFA by losing to the Mancs.

the (main) issue is the media....how much of it is reported.........the mancs were out of order but all we get is us backing Suarez.

GIAE I think you took the OP the wrong way.

GIAEM

I know our supporters have sung stupid chants as such in the past and don't condone such chants.
Just pointing out the moral high ground Man Utd supporters take and slinging it back when all their club can do is act like ferals also.
yet they don't see or except it.

i dont know what ur talking about, but

"British police said they arrested a man late Saturday in connection with an alleged racist gesture made at Liverpool's Anfield stadium during the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Manchester United.

An image of a man apparently making a monkey gesture in the stands was widely distributed on social networking websites, and a number of complaints were made to police after the match which ended in a 2-1 win for Liverpool.

The game was the first between the fierce rivals since Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was given an eight-match ban after a Football Association inquiry found him guilty of racially abusing United captain Patrice Evra.

A police spokeswoman said: "Merseyside Police can confirm that a 59-year-old man from North Wales has been arrested this evening following an alleged incident at the LFC vs MUFC match this afternoon.

"The man has been taken to a police station and will be questioned by officers.

"Merseyside Police would like to thank North Wales Police and Liverpool Football Club for their assistance with this matter."

Before the match the stadium announcer warned supporters that racist behaviour would not be tolerated.

Evra, a French international defender who was born in Senegal, was loudly booed by Liverpool fans throughout the match.

Speaking before the arrest, match commander Chief Superintendent Jon Ward said: "I would like to thank the majority of fans for their behaviour and co-operation.

"We knew this would be a busy operation and most fans can be proud that they acted as ambassadors for their cities and their clubs.

"We can confirm that specialist officers are reviewing match footage, as a result of a picture posted on Twitter.

"This matter is now under investigation by specialist hate crime detectives and we are working with Liverpool Football Club to identify the man in question."

spitting on a memorial of any kind is unacceptable. I wouldn't even do that to one for argentinian deaths in the falklands. It's about respect.
