Great effort by Angle Vale! And awesome pics! It's good quality out there some good touches and a bit of fire is always good . Grove are showcasing a lot of young players. Their 10 and 9 were standouts, both finished the game strong. 7 Looked comfortable in the middle for a little guy and their young keeper is not too bad either. There were some kids off the bench who showed some promise to. It is still early though and 1st div is a mens comp not a kids comp!
Angle Vale showed a lot of ticker, im sure they will be towards the top of their division, their keeper had a few great saves.
Was this the aftermath of the now infamous stray elbow incident ?
Good player that number 9, reminds me of Danny Allen from the Vale teams of the 80's.

For a few years now Penny Farthing... The rule now states if the keeper has the ball under control, no matter it be one or two hands, then you cannot try and take the ball, not too sure of the correct wording of the rule but it's along that rough rule of thumb...
I only know as I was always fond of trying to steal the ball from a keeper when they had only one hand in control of the ball, aka Nigel Clough. However i remember trying it not too long ago and the ref warned me and said that the rule is as long as the keeper has it under control, eg walking around the bow with one hand under the ball and scratching his nuts with the other hane... then i cannot try and steal the ball.
Im sure someone fanatic out there has this rule saved on their desktop...
