Sunday +35s 2012

Post by htfac »

What clubs are putting in +35s this year?
From last year I've heard that both Mod Vista and Parafield will not be putting in a team in 2012, but that Salisbury Inter will be a new team this year.
The Downs Fossils are in again this year, as I assume are Para Hills West, Para Hills East, Mod Jets OB, Mod Jets AFC and the Vale.

Salisbury Inter definately have a nominated side that will be playing this year.

I emailed the Amateur League the other day & apparently they had clubs that had put teams in not sure who has pulled out though.
We are Liverpool Football Club and the expectations are so high.

Word at the Farm last night was PHE are not putting a team in this year.
If so the 11 teams should be -

1. Farm
2. Gully
3. Vale
4. Downs
5. Inter
6. Grove
7. Westies
8. Jets
9. Jets OB
10. Athelstone
11. Brahma

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Heard some rumblings about MC Woodpeckers wanting back in.

Will there be a shortage of over 35 players available with eleven of the twelve teams being located in the North / North East of Adelaide.

Yeah Inter have over 35 but the only Sun Div 1 side with no C team..pretty piss poor if u ask me - should be compulsory that Sun Div 1 sides have A, B and C teams..

In Div 1 they should be IMO - its the premier Amateur Div and teams should have A,B and C.

If u r in Div 1 the 3rd team entered should be a C team - after that if u want an over 35 then fine.

If you have the numbers for four teams you should be able to field a C and D team in division four. Old Ignatians, Comets and St Peters have done it in the past.

and womens and juniors and whiteboards !!!

your an idiot.... :clown:
A's & B's I agree a Div 1 team should have but anything more than that is a bonus.

most clubs find it hard to field 2 teams !!
you cant force O/35's to play C's

Not talking about Sat League - I am talking about the Premier Amateur League in the state which is Sun Div 1..

PHE still a maybe.
Heard 7 or 8 of Brahma old boys incl. E. O'Neill have gone to Jets OB, so presume it unlikely that the old Celtic boys will be in.

Agree with Rodent.
If you told the +35's that they had to in the 'C' team comp, possibly against 16 year olds who kick the ball 50 yards around you and run all day, most would walk and find another team, meaning the club wouldn't have a C team or +35's.

Thats very true what ive seen of C Teams they are full of young lads that have taken soccer up at a later age, a few guys that maybe can't train & a few older guys but mainly younger.

Im playing 35's this year with a group of mates if we were asked to play C's i would of definately walked.
