First win for RBE tonight, 4-3 away at Comets. I wasn't there but hear one of the goals was like Mori's world record strike

Well done to the guys.

Cougars 5-2.......Cougars comortable winners, great effort from Gleeson to come back from 2 down to put some pressure on.
Result was never in doubt. Thanks to The Gleeson boys for their great effort all season and hospitality after the game.
Has been a fantastic year for us in our first year together and look forward to a stronger competition again next year. Cheers to Blotto and his Stirling boys also for keeping the pressure on...same goes to Hawks and Titans especially and hope the rest of the teams improve in depth and quality.........should be a great comp again next year with Cougars boys fully commited to go around again. :D

Yep... it's been a great season.

Once again, Congrats to Jack & the boys at Cougars. Well deserved their league win. Gives us all a benchmark for next season. Also, many thanks to all the teams. It's great to be in a division where everyone gets along well and can always come on here after a game without bitching, arguing etc like what is going on in other divisions.

I'm already looking forward to next season. Have a good summer lads. :)

Adelaide titans vs Fc Adelaide 5-0. Good way to end the season with 4 wins in a row.

well played to the Titans lads, played a smart game, I was impressed with the movement of your forwards. Unfortunately myself and another lad had to take off not long into the second half to play B's and it apparently went pear shaped after that!

FC Adelaide welcome the end of season as we have a large injury list and guys playing multiple games each weekend. Thanks to all teams, had a great year this year playing against you all. Congratulations to Cougars on winning the league, easily the best side and deserved champions. Until next year lads, take it easy.

You gotta give it to RBE (and the teams they are playing). With nothing to play for they are still committed to getting their games played.

Well done guys!

Thanks to everyone we have played (and mostly lost too) this season.

Thanks to all the clubs we played mid-week in catch up games during the season, we promise to be there from the start next season, not 5 weeks late.

At the start I hoped to put 11 players on the pitch for every game and well did except for 1 (sorry gleeson but we improved the goal diff by +8 2-0 isnt as bad as 10-2). Then we hoped to get a point and there where a few games we had the lead and threw it away or only went down by 1 but we got our point (thanks MA Hawks) The last thing we wanted was at least 1 win, we plugged away all season for it, I even put my ponytail (which took 3 years to grow) up for grabs if the boys could get a win, we finely got it against comets, in a game we did deserve to win, even though we tried to throw it away twice but we got it. I got my ponytail cut and red blue eagles won.

To answers someone post from earlier we did sing the zigga-zagger song and we also sang eagle ranger (blue eagles song).

Hope to see you all next season, hope we can keep improving and putting up a fight.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas.

Round 1 - SAT DIV 7 (C) Date: 14/04/2012

The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas.

I thought the league was going to bring in Hahndorf and move Stirling to Div 6 to follow their A's :?

Well thats off the website as of 5 minutes before I made my last post. It would actually be sensible to do that so knowing the saasl that means they wont actually change it but if I am not wrong all the div2 have c's surely we all play in the same div and that way each club will have 9 triple header home games.

So they have 2 c squads then?

Why aren't Hahndorf in with the other Div2 C sides?

I had to stop playing due to work commitments but from what I heard I'm pretty sure Stirling didn't have the numbers for 2 C's teams...

Just asking someone at the club now....

Hahndorf are now in Div 7 C league so this makes complete sense now for the triple headers.

We have swapped with Puma's.

Have Gleeson changed home grounds?

Comets played them in a trial at Pooraka a few weeks back, where they played last season, but the fixture says Gleeson College, anyone know?

Gleeson definitely at Pooraka again this year... Just another SAASL over-sight!

I was told by someone at the club last night that Stirling only have 1 C's team this year.... (I'm assuming it will be the team in Div 6 that is aligned with the A's & B's)

God knows what is going to happen on Saturday when Gleeson are due to play the 2nd Stirling team (Div 7) which as far as I've been told doesn't exist....

Oh yeah, don't shoot the messenger :) I'm only going by what I was told but someone from Gleeson might want to ring the SAASL and find out what the hell is going on.
